what time is barker due in the ring? Anyone know?
Frampton has got to be kicking himself watching that.jameswilson wrote:Jesus. Kiko wins the World title. Gonna be interesting to see who he defends against because I'd imagine both Mr Hearn and Mr McGuigan will be going nuts to the wall to try and get their man in with him.
I dont know. I thought Frampton boxed very well and he had the power to trouble Martinez that it seemed like Romero didnt.Fat Git wrote:Frampton was very fortunate to beat Martinez in my opinion - lightning won't strike twice there, meanwhile; well done Kiko Martinez, he deserved it and Romero wasn't bad either.
How was Frampton fortunate? Tough fight but three judges had him four rounds ahead and then he knocked the guy out.Fat Git wrote:Frampton was very fortunate to beat Martinez in my opinion - lightning won't strike twice there, meanwhile; well done Kiko Martinez, he deserved it and Romero wasn't bad either.
I will have to watch the fight again but no way was Frampton 4 rounds in front. I don't remember that at all.garethhop wrote:How was Frampton fortunate? Just a hunch lightning won't strike twice.columbo wrote:I dont know. Sorry just to clarify. He was ahead by four on two cards, and by two on the other card.Fat Git wrote:I will have to watch the fight again but no way was Frampton 4 rounds in front. What a warrior what a fight and what a worthy champion... its doesnt matter for darren what happens next hes done what he wanted to acheive and hes the new world champ and dedicated it to Gary.. hope he gets a few £ off this great win....jameswilson wrote:YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I normally don't mind Kellerman, but why was he implying that Barker got a lucky break with the decision.... even though HBO scored it for Barker (I think).cutsman wrote:Brilliant barker!
Interviewer was a cock though..
Just what I was thinking. Kellerman didn't give any credit to Barker for his performance, just suggested that he got lucky with the decision.stujones wrote:I normally don't mind Kellerman, but why was he implying that Barker got a lucky break with the decision.... even though HBO scored it for Barker (I think).cutsman wrote:Brilliant barker!

what did kim say before the fight?Kilburn wrote:Brilliant from Barker. I thought he would he succumb to Geale's efforts down the stretch but he brought the lot and chucked it at Geale all night.
I wonder if that Steve Kim twerp is prepared to offer Barker some respect now.
Geale isnt that great though to be honest.Autobarn wrote:what did kim say before the fight?Kilburn wrote:Brilliant from Barker. I thought he would he succumb to Geale's efforts down the stretch but he brought the lot and chucked it at Geale all night.

looking back, credit to Sergio Martinez - stopping barker could be the great argie's most underrated win.
Even Geale knows that ... he said himself... but what he usually is good at is running down opponents and beating them when they are next to exhaustion but he didnt manage to do that with barker...columbo wrote: Geale isnt that great though to be honest.
