Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
Golovkin would be in trouble with a middleweight of Brook's talent. Disappointing ending.
I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo made him pay for that offensive style.

Khan would have gone down in first roundHorse wrote:How was that confirmed?rossij8 wrote:Must be the cheekbone
One thing confirmed brook would beat Khan
Khan was doing well for the first 4 rounds in his middleweight fight as well.
I'm not a Khan hater actually a fan but Brook at light middle or even middle against anyone apart from GGG would be a force
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
brook was feeling it in the corner, dom probably knew he wasnt going to win and health wise better protect him. he got his pay day. brook might get stopped again against errol spence next year.
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
I would've liked to have seen if that happened as the rounds went on as well.SamWise72 wrote:I was wondering whether GGG was gonna punch himself out. I thought Brook was weathering the storm pretty well, and didn't look in big trouble.

Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
Jeez im actually shattered but what a fight and effort from Brook, that left hook that shook him in the 1st round proved crucial as it clearly bothered himm but it didnt stop him landing good clean shots on Golovkin, but Gennady is just a beast and weathered the hairy moments and done what he does,i thought Dominic could have let Kell see the end of the round if im honest but you would have thought he would have KO'd Brook pretty soon
Kell Brook
I loved that

They were never going to let Brook take a proper beating there. It wasn't part of the gamble.

He was getting hit at will against a naturally smaller man.rd350lc wrote:no he looked truly awful against an area level fighter .lefty wrote:I wasn't that impressed with Golovkin there.

Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
He was just too busy trying to land a haymaker in the first 3 rounds. As soon as he started boxing properly it was game over.Neil Gee wrote:No, it wasn't what I was expecting.lefty wrote:I wasn't that impressed with Golovkin there.

Golovkin will beat the living sh*t out of Canelo with ease if they ever fight.Tuan_Jim wrote:Golovkin would be in trouble with a middleweight of Brook's talent. Disappointing ending.

If it’s his chhek that’s fractured or worse, eye-socket, then it’s a smart move. Do 7 more against Golovkin would have been the dumb thing, imo.

Golovkin wasn't that bothered about defence. He fights in accordance to his opponent. I don't think he really respected Brook's power.lefty wrote:He was getting hit at will against a naturally smaller man.rd350lc wrote:no he looked truly awful against an area level fighter .lefty wrote:I wasn't that impressed with Golovkin there.
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
Your use of the term "hit at will" is a little off. He hurt Golovkin a few times, and if he were able to hit him at will he would've dropped him.lefty wrote:He was getting hit at will against a naturally smaller man.rd350lc wrote:no he looked truly awful against an area level fighter .lefty wrote:I wasn't that impressed with Golovkin there.
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
BJS just filled his underpants
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
He was blocking a lot of it on his gloves....the crowd cheering doesn't mean Brook landing.lefty wrote:He was getting hit at will against a naturally smaller man.rd350lc wrote:no he looked truly awful against an area level fighter .lefty wrote:I wasn't that impressed with Golovkin there.
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
Brook definitely beats Khan. As we all knew, ggg had too much for brook
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
Why?Loftgroov wrote:BJS just filled his underpants
Golovkin didn't look great.
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
Golovkin had certainly sharpened up and stopped winging wild hooks, but could he have sustained it? Dunno. I'm disappointed with that ending.
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
brook was getting twatted,no need to continue. They've got everyones money now anyway. That woukd have been a rigo donaire beating by the end
Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
When did he hurt GGG? He landed, but I didn't see GGG in any trouble.gilgamesh wrote:Your use of the term "hit at will" is a little off. I think it was on purpose. Golovkin didn't seem too worried.Horse wrote:Why?Loftgroov wrote:BJS just filled his underpants

Re: Brook vs GGG card round by round
He shouldn't be getting hurt against a blown up welterweight though.gilgamesh wrote:Your use of the term "hit at will" is a little off.
