Hennessey is a complete and utter joke of a promoter, surely if the TV deal was all signed and sealed he would of announced at 10am this morning but as usual he has let us fans and his boxers down again, I bet he didn’t have anything signed when he made the announcement that he was going to announce the TV station which must of meant that he told the fury’s that a deal was in place when it wasn’t.

Just hope that allegedly step up and take the fight, least there will be one decent promoter involved in the event!

Their celebrating like they have won the fight. I've said before I think the fight will be canned and I think Parker will win and to be fair the fight now looks like it is going ahead, although there is time for it to all go Mike Lee yet. But I aint gonna be looking stupid until Hughie Fury's hand is raised. If the fight goes ahead and Fury gets pancaked then the only people holding their dicks will be his team.

It reminds me of when Groves went 'round 1 to me' in the press conference for the Wembley fight.

Any promoter who doesn't frequently use social media is doing his fighters a disservice, its free, most people use it, even if their not personally interacting, at least constant retweets etc, hammer the twitter constsntly, Eddie's use of social media is a big part in why he's the best promoter in the world today

Agreed, but it's not just that. Hearn will do the Joshua Pulev press conference soon. I imagine that it's 99% certain that at the conference it'll be a case of 'the fight will be on Sky Box Office.' And it's not just Joshua - TV is usually announced at the announcement regardless, including standard Sky.

Surely a massive part of a title fight is who is showing it, given that's a major source of income. Why is taking so long? Hennessy has form for this in fairness. Froch was a guy who ended up filling Wembley who had probably his most exciting fight broadcast on an internet stream.

It wouldn't surprise me if Hennessy eventually announces that he has concocted some kind PPV online streaming service for this fight.

Don’t people understand that if there is no TV in the UK then this fight won’t be on TV in New Zealand. Sky PPV in New Zealand will be taking a feed from UK TV production and adding in there own commentary etc, I can’t see Sky TV wanting to pay 150-200k for the production and I reckon in the contract between hennessey and duco it states that hennessey has to supply them with a live TV feed.

So unless hennessey does some actual work for a change and secures tv then this event wont happen, a percentage of Parkers purse is based on the TV rights selling well in New Zealand, Australia and Samoa, so parker will either want hennessey to cover that loss or he wont fight.

So let’s see if hennessey comes through and announces the UK TV deal today, still not sure that he understands it is only 18 days to fight night!
