This little post interview gathering with Bellew is about as real as anything I've seen from Sky.
It's refreshing.

I have no desire to see either of them fight again, for different reasons. Haye is obviously completely done and Bellew can’t beat Usyk or any heavyweight that would afford him a worthwhile payday...

So because he can't beat them he shouldn't fight them?
I can think of a lot of reason$$$$ why he should fight on

Are you certain you actually pressed the pause button? Perhaps you accidentally switched off your tv by mistake?

He looked like he was bouncing around fine for me this time. Balance looked bad once he was clocked. Equilibrium gone was all. Head was fogged. Makes it hard to control the legs. Did not recover from first knockdown.

I left the PPV on pause so I could watch the interviews later, but they've decided I'm not allowed to do that as the PPV is over now and they've just turned it off for me instead.
What sort of way is that to treat a paying customer?
Disgusting.
I paused and went for a piss and then watched the interviews.

I’m sure that Bellew believes that he could beat them but if he has really made enough money to set his family up for life then I would prefer him to retire. He has a commentary gig as well, so why fight again?

I came back down and they had an advert for the PPV on the screen and I couldn't rewind it or anything like that.

Because he's a boxer, he's not far off his prime and he has plenty of big fights available for him.
Why don't you retire?

He was never winning, all smiles walking out the ring.

I thought Haye looked terrible in the open workout, but he talks such a good fight and
looked like he had dehydrated himself purposely for the weigh in where he looked almost perfectly sculpted. It's easy to get sucked in.
Reality is, too much time out, too much injury, too much weight gain and probably the biggest factor is his age. When you're such an athlete as Haye was. Having to adjust to not being that same athlete is going to be a struggle. He can no longer rely on that athletic ability that was obviously such a big factor in his best wins.
Hmmm good point, I hadn’t considered that. I posted on here after the weigh-in yesterday that Haye looked in good shape and seemed to have a more chiselled physique, but in the ring tonight he was back to the lumbering, muscle-bound hulk.

Defo something planned for the Ward fight depending on the result of tonight - Paul Smith got a shot with Eddie

Yh they mentioned Ward a few times. The fight smells more now. They can probably pay ward what he wants.

He has his media work. He talks constantly about how he hates being away from his family in training camps and where is the motivation if he’s made plenty of money?
He’s had an excellent career, moved up from LHW to HW, won a world title at CW and beaten a former HW titleist and unified CW champion twice.
Do you like seeing boxers go on too long?

He's got plenty there for him and he's still got plenty left to offer.
Insisting that he retires at this point is weird.
