ya but no one is saying there on the same level as fighters, just about size and a guy coming up to be competitive with a naturally bigger man

Yeah, that seems the most obvious comparisons. Garcia is the better all around fighter at this point imho. The closer the fight gets, the more uncertain I'm getting. I've posted before that Garcia is too smart to walk into a slaughter. I'm 50/50 at this point.

No said that either of them were on the level of Duran. All I said was this fight could play out like Hagler Duran. We all know Garcia isn't on the level of Duran but Spence isn't on the level of Hagler .

No, we're saying this fight could play out like Hagler Duran where everyone assumed Hagler was too big for him.

Scared? No.

But the story has always been that he was leery of Hearns.

The look on his face shortly into the first round shows a guy who is like, "shvt! What the hell am I supposed to do now?!"

All time favorite?

Must be a big Hearn's fan.

Or a big Duran detractor.

Maybe a small comparison would be pac vs Oscar?
Though Oscar wasn't in his prime like Spence is there are similarities..
Alot of people still thought that was to big a hill to climb for PAC who was a multi division lower weight champ as is Mikey...

Now can we get back on topic instead of discussing the above fight?!?!...... Please?

Lol

Just one last thing about that.

Another difference was that Oscar-Pac was fought at a catchweight.

Oscar had been fighting at super welter and agreed to 147. He actually weighed in at 145.

We don't know if that weight cut affected De La Hoya. It usually does with older fighters.

Spence won't be drained, but he does have a rehydration clause.

IBF’s standard 10 pound next morning.

Spence said he could enter the ring at 160 no more than that. And Garcia said he’ll enter at what he usually walks around, which is 150..

10lb with the IBF so 156 then naturally Spence would put on another 3/4 lb from 9am till first bell

At the weigh in Duran told Tommy he was going to kill him and hearns said you're going down in 2.

Mikey can make a fight of it and I don’t consider it impossible for him to defy the betting odds to upset Spence Jr. I sincerely believe that this will be a competitive fight for the first six rounds or so.

However, Errol’s superior size and strength will begin to tell midway through the bout, wearing down and taking its toll on Garcia during the championship rounds, resulting in Spence Jr. emerging victorious either by late stoppage or by decision.

My “head” expects Spence Jr. to win, but my “heart” would prefer the underdog to score the upset, which means I’d overjoyed about being proven wrong about my prediction.

If Mikey Garcia proves most of us wrong this weekend, to capture another world title in his fifth weight class, then there’d be a decent argument for him being rated amongst the top-three pound-for-pound fighters.

Whereas a victory for Spence Jr. would greatly improve his resume and go a long way to justifying all the hype and accolades that have bestowed upon him prematurely, since he’s only ever previously faced two top-ten 147lb-ers (Brook & Peterson).
