He needs a good rest anyway, but his eye looked ok yesterday when he posted a photo of him receiving a visit from King Kennydr_devious wrote: ↑08 Nov 2019, 08:26 That eye of Taylor's is horrible, will it keep him out for a while?
If he were to beat Ramirez and effectively clean up at 140 then have a couple of solid wins at 147 then Taylor v Crawford could be massive. Long way away but not that far fetched imo.Autobarn wrote: ↑08 Nov 2019, 08:43 Really good fight. Taylor has better stamina, tried harder and wanted it more. Prograis is a little soft looking and is brilliant only for short bursts, rather than providing sustained work. Taylor did way too much work between rounds, say, 5 and 10. Not sure what was up with the Sky Spirt team and their scoring which I found grotesque.
Taylor is the next Calzaghe level talent. Southpaw, big, fast enough, great engine, strong albeit lacking the KO punch at world level. And the main thing, his adaptability: vs Postol, Baranczyk & even Prograis, he always finds something to change the fight’s outcome in his favour. Good that he’s being tested so early (unlike Calzaghe) because he appears to be growing & he’s unlikely to have the same success as a welterweight. As such, I believe he’ll face this Ramirez badass in the near future.
