Wilder can't take a good punch. Ruiz is faster than Fury, so he would have chances too.

i have always thought that fighters like Miller, Kownacki or Ruiz would be a big problem for Wilder. But i thought that this style would fit perfectly for AJ though. massive shocker.

This one is bigger than Douglas / Tyson for me.

Fury is the class of the heavies. None better his boxing skills.

He would have chances. Fury obviously wouldn't make the kinda stupid defensive mistakes AJ did. Wilder might though. Wilder vs Ruiz would be interesting. Hell Wilder vs AJ is still interesting, but not as much.

Too bad. We'll probably never see 2 undefeated Heavyweights with those kinda KO percentages primed to fight each other ever again. It only took about 40 years to get there again

After he was knocked down again in the 7th, Joshua checked out mentally.

His confidence was shot and you could look at his face and see he was thinking "no mas."

Joshua dug down deep against Klitschko when he encountered adversity but he couldn't pass a gut check tonight.

I wonder if he can regain that confidence in the future or if Ruiz ruined him.

It’ll be natural to overrate Ruiz over this win, but he’s still not that good. Fury is pretty clearly the class of this awful division, with Wilder being right there too despite his hymen thin resume.

When a guy with a questionable chin willingly leaves his chin hanging in the air in an attempt to finish you, beleive me, you can knock him out when he leaves himself that open.

Wilder vs AJ is a lottery. Whoever lands first wins. They both can't take each other's shots.

Wilder vs Joshua just lost half of its interest. Now Joshua will be clamoring for that rematch to happen before Christmas.

AJ has an average chin and doesn’t handle pressure well. That doesn’t bode well when you’re standing across from Wilder with his massively powerful windmills.

I'd favor Wilder over Joshua. Wilder has the greater power, yes, but also the greater will to fight and will to win. Wilder will not lose on his feet like Joshua just did.

Yeah, I think AJ was exposed more than Ruiz is now some world beater. We've seen enough of Ruiz to know what he is about. AJ is sort of an enigma right now for me. I don't know what to make of him just yet. He's way more vulnerable than people thought.

Douglas / Tyson was bigger because we didn't know about Tyson's lifestyle at the time. AJ doesn't have that excuse as far as I know.

Fury would be running and jabbing, but Ruiz is fast enough to get inside where he has chances.

Joshua spent most of the week talking "Wilder, Wilder, Wilder."

A lesson to be learned. Focus on the opponent at hand.

People are going to go nuts over a result but need to evaluate the events that took place to get there. This wasnt Ruiz exposing Joshua over the course of the fight. This was AJ recklessly endangering himself by getting in extended wild exchanges in order to secure a KO, in turn eating a massive shot that would turn the fight upside down and he would never recover from. It took his legs away immediately. Thats what can happen to your body when you dont take an opponent seriously in training. He may look like Adonis but I seriously doubt his cardio was on point in this camp. Against fighters he respects AJ is never getting that reckless and putting himself in such a dangerous position. Understand this.
