you mean the rule that a round lasts 3 minutes or the rule, that fighters team members can't enter the ring before the round is stopped by the ref or that a fighter hurt by an illegal punch is given up to 5 minutes to recover?

It wasn't a robbery. It was a fight that got out of hand, and ended in a bizarre way. Certainly not the standard way things go in Boxing, and the referee definitely should've done WAY better, but he didn't. Does that mean we should cry about it for the rest of our f*cking lives?

Hell I liked Glowacki before. This thread is making me enjoy that elbow to his jaw more every time I see it, and I can't wait for the rematch when Breidis stomps his ass again so you can cry some more.

If the fight had been EXACTLY the same except for it were Breidis who'd hit him in the back of the head while Glowacki responded with an elbow, an then went on to win you wouldn't have said a goddamn word would you? At any rate you certainly wouldn't STILL be talking about it. That's for 100% certain.

the referee DID heard the bell. he tried to separate the fighters seconds before the knockdown, but he was afraid of doing so. watch the replay again. also, the bell rang very loudly, and that is what the people who have been there confirm, Byrd must have been completely deaf to not hear that.

fact 1: Briedis wouldn't do that anywhere outside of Riga
fact 2: if he did, he would have been DQ'd or Głowacki would have been given up to 5 minutes to recover.
