Lads, we're talking about Ali here - not wee Billy around the corner...

I wouldn't be too surprised if Dempsey didn't beat them all either.

Look at the footage, he was quick, very quick.

Ok barring Usyk maybe.

Remember, it took a supreme technical boxer to beat Dempsey.

Jack Demspey was the physical equivalent of a modern-day rehydrated light heavyweight.

Check the rehydration weights of Chas Dawson, Sergey Kovalev, Jean Pascal, Anonio Tarver, Glen Johnson, Tony Bellew etc. and you'll surely realise that all these men entered the ring weighing around the 190lbs mark, which is the same weight Dempsey weighed for his world heavyweight title fights.

Look, what do I know... perhaps we should just place a ban on weight classes, because size doesn't matter, does it?

you are right, it really doesn't... that much.

but who in his right mind would constantly go up against men weighing much more when there's merits to achieve in his own weight class?

in ancient times (1900-) there were smaller fighters who took on everybody no matter the size. i don't have to name them... barbados joe walcott was one.

jones jr., haye, usyk and many others went up from cruiser... why?

cause they achieved everything at their 'natural' weight that there was to achieve and gave it a shot.

my point is. size really doesn't matter as much as you think.
