When did he report that ?
He reported that he’s been given permission to leave.
Michael Benson put it on Twitter 50 mins ago with the credit going to Coppinger,
I follow Mike’s tweets. The latest he put up was the one I posted if you scroll up. Not seen any others.
I follow Benson too, but it’s like Chinese whispers. I tend to go to his source.
Exactly the same as me. Benson's a useless journalist but he aggregates a wider range of sources than actual journalists. Used to follow big Dan aswell but he posts too much about his collectibles and events he previously went to (Copp does also post too much about WWE for my liking).

Mike posts a variety. NFL, NBA.. mostly boxing though..
Yeh I’m the same with Dan.. he feels nostalgic too much.

Yeh, he must not have actually read Mike C’s post where he wrote Ukraine have said Usyk can leave, but Usyk hasn’t even responded.

It’s a tough role to balance trying to be the first one to report things and also not annoying people.
I don’t mind him too much. Arum hates him because of, quite rightly, the way he went after Valdez after he tested positive. It must be tricky now given they’re both with ESPN.
Dan Rafael also makes loads of sly digs at him because he essentially took Dan’s old role at ESPN.
Sometimes I think he rushes things out rather than doubling down on the accuracy which could/should be improved but I guess it’s often tricky to verify things that people may not want out there.

I agree. He can come off as smug and also likes to point out that he was first to report things which can come off as childish in the way that he does it sometimes. I think it's fine for the promoters not to like him as he'll be leaking their plans but he shouldn't be winding up the boxers in the way that he does otherwise he'll end up with no sources.

Mike was already with ESPN when he went off at Valdez. Most were behind him.
I understand that he wants to be the first to report things as well, he’s good at what he does and 90% of the time he IS reliable.
I think sometimes managers/promoters etc might hate on it cus they wanted to tweet ur first or put out a a press release etc.

Apparently Usyk can leave as there’s a loophole where if you have 3 kids you don’t have to stay.
If you have less than 3 kids and are aged 18-60 you aren’t allowed to leave the country.
Loma has 2 kids.

He was still given permission to leave as an exception.
Now Bad Left Hook are reporting it as well.

TBH, they're citing ESPN.
Now BBC have said the camp is not in Poland.
I'm gonna wait til we hear from Klimas or Usyk himself about what's happening.

Yep. This. Usyk strikes me as the type who will genuinely be doing it for a nation. I reckon Joshua doesn't see the 9th.

"This fight is bigger the boxing. It's not about the fighters or me, Eddie Hearn, it's about using sport as a vehicle that can drive us towards peace. The language of business is universal. I speak that language fluently. As President of Matchroom Sports I am uniquely positioned to be able to speak on equal terms to my fellow Presidents, Putin and Zelensky. Make no mistake, sorting out what's going on over there will come down to doing a nice bit of business and that is what I, Eddie Hearn, do best. We are looking at Red Square for the rematch with Putin and Zelensky sat with me at ringside on the night. The only conditions are a whopping site fee, a ceasefire, and a Nobel Peace Prize on my mantelpiece."
Satire.

If this is in the UK - it will be really interesting to see who the crowd will be pulling for.
I would have been pulling for Usyk anyway as I don't believe there should be a rematch.
Whilst obviously not as bad - people are having a go at Khan for tiggering (we think) the Brook rematch. Whilst not as one sided as that one - it was a such a clear victory I feel Joshua needed an interim fight to prove he was worthy of it.
This wasn't a Lewis vs Rahman or Joshua vs Ruiz where the other guy was winning before he got tagged.
Anyway, it will be very hard to think the crowd will booo Usyk.
