I disagree. If he beats Wlad, Wilder, AJ and Usyk, without suffering losses, then he’s an ATG.

I don't think we will see Fury in with Uysk. 100% I think he doesn’t want to fight him. Full stop.

I don't think he will box Joyce, Joshua or Ruiz either. I genuinely think he has already embarked on an exhibition tour. It's all pantomime. A pity, as, inbetween all the nonsense, he was a very good talent.

Yeah I agree. I think his plan is to talk horseshit and milk the public in between until he finally retires. It'll probably be chisora then wilder, who he will somehow recycle. Then some other bullshite

Agree , really without being detrimental to the current boxers facts are he is in a very weak era of heavyweights , and still managed to have all but a couple against poor opposition , , i mean poor for him chisora 3 times is a good example ,, Whyte was'nt so clever , his resume in a poor era is very poor , no way is he now or ever a ATG except in his dads mind his mind , and one or two big fans minds

I saw the IFL interview and Umar asked him about it and he didn’t seem to confirm or deny. Certainly made me think it wouldn’t be the principality. They won’t go to London because they’ve got Dubois supposedly headlining the week before. I wonder if they’ll try the MEN maybe. Or go overseas.

I always thought pre-Stewart Bowe would have been too much, but certainly not post-Stewart. It was Bowe’s and his managers fault it never happened. They both bottled it I think, and wanted to stick to tomato cans.

According to Steward, Eddie Futch told him he thought Lennox was too big strong and powerful for Bowe and it'd be a repeat of the Olympics. So Bowe's swerved it. Lennox didn't bottle anything, he was due a 25% mandatory purse and they offered 10%, he wanted to take it but his manager told him not to in order to make sure he got the 25%

I think it does. Wlad is the dominant force of a decade, to outbox the man who outboxed everyone was very impressive. Wilder is the biggest puncher of the decade and then you have Whyte, Cunningham and Wallin who may yet have a decent career.

Marciano gets called an ATG off beating Past prime Charles x2, Old Moore, Old Walcott x2 and a shot to pieces Louis. There was a clear number 1 for the majority of his reign called Valdes who was significantly bigger than him who his management avoided. They also kept him away from taller bigger Bob Baker.

Most fans consider Jack Dempsey an ATG, despite him drawing the colour line and not fighting black fighters. Harry Wills was the number 1 contender for nearly a decade but never got a title shot. Langford was an ATG still active during this time. And Jeanette and Mcvey were 2 of the best. Harry Greb, who was white, was the best light heavyweight and middleweight of his era and Dempsey wouldn't fight him, instead fighting men who lost to Greb.

I think ATG status is something to be decided when a fighter retires and one can look at everything in the round.

I wouldn't expect any fighter to take on the very best every fight, as I think that would be too tough for anyone's body. Personally, I would have liked Fury to retire after the third Wilder fight as it was a hard night for both of them.

I thought Whyte was an ok fight to take inbetween Uysk/Joshua, but I am disappointed with Chisora III. It feels like the system is being gamed here, a bit. That said, it's good for Chisora to get a shot at the title. He has more than earned it, given that he has gone in with anyone. I won't watch the fight though. Zero interest in it.

I do think Boxing is in a dark place right now and a Uysk vs Fury unification fight in February would do wonders for the sport.

On boxingnews24 Classic forum they nearly all do but ofcourse he has fans and detrators. Historians have generally rated him top 15 HWs of all time. Although I think it's fair to say boxing progressed after his time.

He was also one of Mike Tyson's favourite boxers that Tyson's/De Mato's style is partly built on.

It’s kinda the manner in which he dispatched those dumplings. He’s a tremendous puncher and for someone who is naturally a 220lb ish man some of his methods of KO have been quite chilling.
