Cameron got old manned, she was too hesitant because Taylor left the head there and then wrapped her up, so Cameron gave her too much space.
She didn't have a plan B

In fairness to Monzon he’s only saying what a lot of people are thinking.

Without the attendant hype and hysterical overreaction of commentators and pundits, all of whom are desperate to keep their seat on the DAZN gravy train, nobody on here would deem that fight worthy of a comment.

It was a scrappy, frustrating fight between two fighters who didn’t have the skill or the physical attributes to avoid cancelling each other out.

Had that been a 6 round prelim fight on the undercard of a men’s card we’d have said “yeah couple of really game fighters but probably best not to give up your day jobs lads” . The ref’s lack of intervention to stop the constant butting and holding would’ve been the most noteworthy aspect of the fight

I don’t know because I’m not as versed in the intricacies of boxing as many on here but I genuinely ask the question, was that even area level standard ?

I love that old manned phrase, it's a proper thing isn't it, so many fights won through that.

Jamie Moore knows his onions, it was clearly a planned tactic

Fairly typical of it IME. I've seen better and worse in halls. Cameron had the nous to look for uppercuts when Taylor wanted to hold, and likewise Taylor grabbed her advantage when Cameron backed off to create space, filling those spaces with flurries into the next clinch. But this is spot on:
It was a scrappy, frustrating fight between two fighters who didn’t have the skill or the physical attributes to avoid cancelling each other out.
It was screaming for 3-minute rounds, perhaps even more so than Shields-Marshall.

I don't know if Taylor can't go the distance without gassing any more, or whether she'd actually be fresher late without so much holding. It seemed she realised it nullified Cameron and was happy to commit sizeable energy to it.

Wonder if Loma's camp might train Cameron for the third? Help her turn some more angles in sparring.

Thanks Grilling, it’s good to get an honest and informed perspective of the fight without the implication that I’m a misogynist for even asking about it
