Now I know why they didn’t pursue an immediate rematch with Dubois.

I believe that Hearn and Co know that Joshua is shot to pieces, hence why they agreed to the Jake Paul cashout farce and why they're now so desperate to cashout against Fury in a decade old fight.

This is Joshua's last chance to earn some megabucks, because he is now a 250 lb Amir Khan and is an accident waiting to happen.

I think this must have been seen as a test of his chin. Wallin or Franklin are the types of feather fisted opponents you pick to get the ring rust off and get rounds. They would come to win but not pose a threat of a flash KO. You pick an opponent like Wach to sit there and take a beating without punching back for a few rounds. Prenga was 20-1 with 100% KO record and has never been stopped and isn't way too old. That's someone that's coming to win with knockout power whether they're skilled or not. Retrospectively a risky move if they knew Joshua's chin was as fragile as it currently looks.

My wonder through all of this is why Usyk is out there making comments like AJ can be undisputed HW champ again? Is he just making a load of money for his team through Joshua, or did Joshua really upset him or something?

Usyk cannot be watching AJ day in and day out and thinking he is improving or returning to something like his younger self? His footwork and reflexes are gone, he is terrified and unravels in defence and we all saw what his punch resistance is like. I just don't understand the collaboration here at all... unless he wants to feed AJ to Itauma to give himself a bit of breathing space...

DAZN made a big deal about the less-than inspirational corner work spoken in heavily accented English that AJ could probably barely hear 'keep your left hand up'... wow. I didn't see anything at all suggesting any improvement in AJ. Yes his combinations and power remain when he lets his hands go, but literally any decent heavyweight could put him over now. The only saving grace is Fury looked slow, easy to hit and ponderous too so it will be a pick 'em still.

It's proof of some level of power and it's proof that he would believe in it. Would Joshua have been dropped by someone of Prenga's level that's 20-1 with a 50% KO record? Although possible, way less likely if you're looking at it in advance of the fight.

Wasn't he outside the top 200 in the world? There's definitely levels to it if Prenga's inside the top 50 in comparison.

He's coaching him so I imagine he's getting paid, he could also be there as a sparring partner too which is useful, or, he might actually like him so is enjoying the work they're doing together. I don't think he's trying to train AJ up to feed to Itauma or anything like that.
