OK ive got 13,couldnt stick to just 10. There are a lot of other guys just on the outside. Capperello, Leapi, Broadhurst, Garlett, McConnell.
Aussie boxing is in a good position, There are a lot of other young guys coming through.
No Katsidis? I agree that LoPorto now belongs right up there, he seems to be getting better with age.

,Dawson,Karmazin and
Thatwin in Germany)
2, Darchinyan
3, Green ( my favorite fighter still, needs a win over another notable Cruiser to climb higher)
4, Katsidis ( needs a win)
5, Bika ( needs a win badly will disappear soon, if another win besides his last win of note in 08 against Manfredo isn't surpassed)
6, Mundine ( no significant wins this year will see Mundine disappear from my list)
7, Zappavigna ( needs another win of note soon)
8, Dibb ( It pains me to say, but his new style is very exciting to watch and has knocked everyone out in his last 7)
9, Leapai ( first time making my list, but honestly deserves it as 1 of hottest prospects on the rise, and an ol footy mate of mine)
10, Omotoso ( needs a win against Rabah, Ndou or someone to keep his spot, was a fast riser after Augustus, but nothing since...Talented)
Talent thin! WTF, i could have 10 reserves here and arguments would be validated from anyones standpoint in the variation of that list.
HM ;Soliman, Tomlinson,Pitt, Vea,Ndou,Rabah,Meehan,Brunker,Asiku,Wood,Medley,Taliepau,Sherington,Wills,Egberime,Forsyth,Fletcher,Broadhurst, and there will be more to come.....Australian boxing is the best it's looked in years, and with the cards these clever promoters are putting together it will only increase the sports chances of making it back to a tier 1 sport in OZ.
the big problem is that alot of our elite fighters are old and will retire over the coming two years or so
I agree, but Geale is 30, and he is currently at the fore front of Australian boxing right now.
Green,Mundine will be gone in 2 or less. Darchinyan will have possibly 2 years left. Katsidis has returned to Australia for maybe a break, but will be shot in 3 years. Soliman is 1 loss away from retirement.Meehan is gone in 1 loss.
They're all great fighters, but the new wave coming thru and with fighters like Geale,Dibb,Zappavigna,Leapai, tomlinson,Asiku,Medley and co, it makes it easier for prospects like, Pitt,Omotoso,Broadhurst,McCulloch,Fletcher,Fleming,McConville,Forsyth,Brunker,Caperello,Nieman,Bolling,Taliepai,Wills,Kidd and theres probably more to come.

Yeah the top 6 here is solid, and they're always fighting, the next 4 are decisively harder to pick, far too inactive, or don't have big enough names on the resume to knock off the top 6.

oh and cool Willie kickett? I loved that kid, i was certain he was gonna be the next lionel rose! Even after those losses. Man he had alot of natural talent. I heard he had some troubles with the law and a possible drinking problem. Real shame. He's still young though and might come back after he sorts himself out

Vic is already at #1 for me, and he can solidify that position with a win over the very good Moreno. I'll try to put together a full list soon.

Skinny retired in 2007 with a 43-5 record, Hussy retired in in 2008 with a 31-5 record. Each retired after losing his last two fights.

2. Geale - Clearly #2 :)
3. Dib - Never used to be a fan, but i gotta say he is growing on me
4. Green - Cant drop him to low, he was winning through 11 rounds against a elite CW
5. Rabah - has been quiet latley
6. Tomlinson - Great fight, needs to teat himself against more guys like that
7. Katsidis - My Faxorite Aussie fighter, not sure were he goes from here
8. Mundine - is bassicaly irrelavent now
9. Bika - Good to see him back
10.not sure - Soliman/pitt/zappa maybe omotoso if we can claim him

1. Geale
2. Darchinyan
3. Dib
4. Green
5. Katsidis
6. Mundine
7. Rabah
8. Omotoso
9. Soliman
10. Thomlinson
I have Vic slipping to #2 after his lopsided decision loss, Green would have climbed to #3 with a win over the Pole, and although I think he's finished (at Cruiserweight on a world level at least) I still think he's closer to the top of the division than Katsidis or Mundine.
