Don't get mad because Irish fans know how to support their fighters.

No bitterness whatsoever, just trying to make a few quid out of the thick Irish.

do you mean the Irish people on here are thick or the irish race in general?
To me any of the irish that are on here are usually level headed and knowledgeable.

If Dunne fails it will be because of his chin, not from lack of talent or heart. If the matchmaking is good, he can have a decent reign.

No offense mate, we like new posters around here, but we've seen the likes of you on the boards all too often. You are irish and a bernard dunne fan and thats your M.O on the boards. You are a blow-in. You are supporting Dunne and while there is nothing wrong with patriotism, it certainly does make some fans blind. Hatton fans are a great example.

We had a friend of Gary Locketts in here last year when Lockett was up against Pavlik and I did what Hagler is doing by trying to make a few quid off that thick f*ck. He claimed Lockett had a real chance against Pavlik but when the fight came around Lockett was happy to take his knee and get out of there and was heavily outgunned, like we all thought.

You might want to try to be a bit more realistic about Dunne on the board. Yes you are a fan but when you support him un every circumstance, you only open yourself up for criticism and ridicule. I've even read some people giving him a chance against Caba and Vasquez and Marquez. I mean, come on.
You know nothing about me! I am a boxing fan in general and the main reason I began posting on here was because I saw a lot of thick as f%$k English people were talking out of their asses about Dunne, so I thought I would set them straight on a few things. Show me one post of mine where I am being unrealistic?
All I have done is pointed out the facts, whereas most on here are happy to make ridiculous statements about a boxer when their only knowledge on him is gleened from a 1 min clip on Youtube!
No one here is saying that Dunne will beat all comers but when ignorant pricks like DG and Hagler insult people of a much higher intelligence than themselves, with their "smart comments", I will have something to say about it.
As for unrealistic, some here have Rendall Munroe as a possible world beater when the sum total of his success seems to come down to a few wins over a certain Kiko Martinez, do you see the hypocrisy here?

I didn't mean to offend and was talking more about the usual blow-ins we get on the forum. You seem like a decent individual. However, Kikos demolition job will always hang over dunnes head. Munroe has never been done in 80 seconds. He beat kiko with something to spare both times and whos to say Dunne could do that. He couldn't do it when they fought. I think Munroe is an excellent boxer and better than Dunne but short of elite level. A fight between them would be good but I feel Munroe would outbox and hurt Dunne and take him out like Kiko did. You have to understand that the kiko loss will not be forgotten until dunne reverses it. As it stands, it's pretty clear that his chin is piss poor and I think Munroe would crack it.
Dunne's chin may be poor but no way Munroe stops him. Munroe couldn't crack an egg, which is probably why he will be near the top of potential opponent lists.

Dunne was caught with a shot that would have put anyone down, those top of the head shots really mess with you, Dunne proved he can take a good shot with all the punishment he took against Cordoba (who hits with a lot more power than Munroe), and kept coming back stronger. Piss poor chin? I don't think so.
Dunne's superior skill and evasive movement would make it hard for Munroe to catch him and even if he managed to hit Dunne, I cannot see Munroe doing much damage.
Dunne also showed improved power, stopping Cordoba (who has never been stopped before),with consistent pressure, can you see Munroe standing up to this type of pressure?
Big he may be, but I just think Dunne edges him in every department. I could be wrong in this of course but Kiko Martinez aside, Dunne's record and past performances tells me he would win this fight should it ever come off.
BTW, how many of Dunne's fights have you guys seen? I have seen Munroe live against Trotta, and on TV against Martinez 1 & 2 and Matriosyan, so I can give an opinion based on what I have witnessed over 4 fights.
Who here has seen Dunne's fights against Pickering, Walstad, David Martinez, etc? Or do you guys judge him solely on the loss to Kiko Martinez.

Nothing about you shreeks intelligence, nothing at all.

You and your little mates ( The 3 Stooges ) are way too personal and insulting, why ridcule Munroe for being a Bin Man?

Dunne is brave but fragile. If you can not see that then you are a bigger tosspot than I thought.

Now........rungalong!

I dont think it fair to brand the boxing fans of ireland a 1 fighter following nation. Sure a lot of people jump on the band
wagon , . But personally my favorites arent even irish. My favorite irish boxer is mccloskey or taylor(possibly the greatest irish sportsperson) ever.
Am i the other arsehole you refer to ? surly not im definatly not aggressive maybe opinionated.

It's not that hard to imagine. Look at his #1 in the rankings Poonsawat. He's fought a low level of competition and is 4 inches shorter than Dunne, I could see Dunne beating him. Then Munroe is at #4, he could beat him. Then if they somehow managed to get a fight against McCullough approved, Dunne would be a strong favourite.
I rate Dunne, had expected big things for a long time. Didn't think he could stop a fighter of Cordoba's calibre. But I would be surprised if Dunne is champ for long.

No way can I see him fighting Munroe and Poonsawat one after the other. Dunne looks weak at the weight and those 2 are stubborn tough guys that would probably be there from rd 1 through 12.

For the long term, Dunne might be well served to use what he has (newfound stardom, portion of a world title) to move up and fight one of the top featherweights. Otherwise, he'll likely get knocked out again IMO.

If Dunne is allowed an optional defence before the mandatory, I see him fighting some guy brought up from a smaller weight, or from outside the top 20. Someone that Dunne can look classy and unbeatable against.

the "thick irish" have beaten the english over and over again in boxing recently , rogan v harrison and skelton . lydnsay v matthews , mccloskey v lynes , macklin v elcock, dunne v pickering and soon sutherland will smack that degale lad around like his bitch if they ever meet in a pro ring . you may think the irish are thick but i can tell you one thing the english will never match an irishman for heart determination and guts !!!!!!!!!!! i cant even remember the last time an englishman matched an irishman for any of these traits in recent fights ! by the way id easily take that bet 1k ? nah lets make it 2

We will agree to disagree. The shot that put Dunne down the first time would not have "put anyone down". I'd put money on marquez, vasquez, caba, molitor, juan manuel lopez etc, all the top line fighters, taking that shot no problem. It was hardly a bone crunching shot and Dunne was effectively done. Cordoba put him down with some punches that I also think were not serious punches. His punch resistance is very poor as I have said all along.

I don't think Dunne has superior skill or movement to Monroe. Again we can agree to disagree.

As far as I'm concerned, Dunne would find himself in a horizontal position against any of the top boys and would also find himself in a horizontal position if he fought Rendall

You cannot put the Kiko performance aside when judging Dunne, as you like to do. He got done in 80 seconds and I really wou
Do you agree that his recoveryfrom the kd's was impressive compared to the kiko fight.
Do you think that should be counted in a fighter having a good chin?
About rendall putting dunne down , sure rendall looks a division above bernard, im not so sure i think it was 3 fights ago i rmember sayong that if rendall is so good he will have him out of there but was not impressed by his power.

I think the Irish are a very loyal bunch, they sem to really get behind their own, even if you are only part Irish, you are welcomed ad supported from what I can see.

Great run of success recently and long may they reign, but Dunner will not last at the very toplevel.

Molitor would stop him and we al know what happned to him recently.

My Irish friends are crackers when it comes to their own, we need more of that here in Enlgand really.

sturdy - no . weak of chin - i wouldnt say that either he showed he hasnt got the worst chin in the world by getting up after 2 knockdowns but he is not sturdy either like mccullough or collins etc
