I’d be amazed if Matchroom weren’t all over the contractual stuff so I’d be surprised if there’s any mention of horsehair in their deal with The Ring.

Sorry it's a Facebook link

I don't know if this is all mind games and Jr maybe playing a game here pretending the weight has been hard to lose. But if not I'm getting a little concerned about his condition when the bell goes.
It’s clever. He’s got people thinking (including on here) that he’s dropped down a weight to fight Benn.

In reality many fighters at championship level have to do similar.

Team Eubank seem rattled. Turning up late for the weigh in, missing weight and not having anyone present when Benn chose his gloves.
Robert Smith is as good as Team Eubank, he must absolutely detest Team Benn
Didn’t come across that way. Maz Majeed from Team Eubank clearly pissed Smith off and I don’t blame Smith either.

Half an ounce could easily be a discrepancy in the scales

Did he take his pants off?
Have you ever seen that much footage of a boxer trying to get the weight off between weigh ins? I don't buy it.

The fact that we know the weights makes this rediculous. At least with the other cermonial weigh ins - its been kept a secret.

Whoever said this was for the gays....... Frankie goes to Hollywood starts playing ahead of the main event weigh in!

Legally nothing as they’ve been approved by the board.

They’re perceived as being punchers gloves though I think which is why some camps may not want them. I’m pretty sure Floyd was against Maidana wearing them for that reason.

Not surprised. BTW for those of you who are gay and tuned into this I'm not being homophobic, enjoy this high camp for what it is. When two tribes go to war, Eddie hands the poppers to Frank Smith?

So team Eubank don’t want the punchers gloves on tomorrow night, they’ve been specifying it all this time but no one told the BBFC - and I presume that’s Smith laying down the law and saying well bad luck, this is the boards decision. End.
Then that guy whoever he is (Eubanks advisor?) says the same thing happened re-gloves with Khan and Brooks, and the board backed down there at last minute …

Expect some last-minute shenanigans tomorrow night before the ring walks

Sounds like Eubank has really struggled to make the weight here ..and judging by that photo from a couple of years ago when he made the weight for the aborted fight, it must be true.

I do remember David Haye conned Enzo and co
that he’d had a nightmare making weight, before turning up to clatter him in short order.

The gloves issue is between the respective camps, not the Board - so it depends whst the contract says. Eubank's advisor is wrong about the Brook fight. Kell changed gloves after a lawyer went through the contract backstage and said that if he didn't change them he would likely be in breach of contract and not get paid. The Board had nothing to do with it.

Eubank's weight issues are real and have been for years, he was going to move up but the first Benn fight came along and the money offered for that was crazy compared to what he's had before. He took the decision to cut to 157lbs then and it has properly screwed his body up and he's too old to put it right.

Yeah. Did Eubank actually use a sauna though? I heard him reference it but that’s all.

Never knew the BBBC didn't provide the scales for weigh ins, it's the promoters, whether it was Matchroom or Boxxer I don't know but still you'd have thought surely the board would provide the scales

It better not be a new belt by good old Turki - "the legacy championship" - I can blooming well see it being that.
