So team Eubank don’t want the punchers gloves on tomorrow night, they’ve been specifying it all this time but no one told the BBFC - and I presume that’s Smith laying down the law and saying well bad luck, this is the boards decision. End.
Then that guy whoever he is (Eubanks advisor?) says the same thing happened re-gloves with Khan and Brooks, and the board backed down there at last minute …
Expect some last-minute shenanigans tomorrow night before the ring walks
Sounds like Eubank has really struggled to make the weight here ..and judging by that photo from a couple of years ago when he made the weight for the aborted fight, it must be true.
I do remember David Haye conned Enzo and co
that he’d had a nightmare making weight, before turning up to clatter him in short order.
Eubank’s advisor is Maz Majeed. He was convicted of spot fixing in cricket a few years and has also served time for tax fraud I think.
The Brook/Khan gloves thing was different. Brook had a clause in his deal that face Khan some control over which gloves Brook used. That contract would have heavily favoured Khan.
I’d imagine Benn/Eubank’s contracts are pretty standard and Frank Smith seems to be a detail person so I’d be surprised if he’s wrong here and that there was anything contractual re: horsehair.
Eubank may still try and play games with it but legally he may not have any grounds and he also doesn’t want to piss off Turki. They’ll have a curfew so it’ll be risky pushing it.

I regret to advise it will almost certainly be that buffoon Adam smith on DAZN ( Impossible to get rid of him, he’ll ass kiss his way in anywhere, plus Eddie owes him for letting him bend him over the desk at sky for 15 years )
His protege/clone/cheerleader/Judas Andy Clarke is bad enough at sky but anything’s preferable to smith dramatically yacking away non stop
Yeah I'm over it.
This time I'm doing it a bit different, I sometimes have Talk Sport as my commentary, but for this fight I'm having a 'watch a long' on YouTube with Propa
Oh who’s that? never heard of it..I’ll go w sky, I’d prefer radio or whatnot but usually there’s a slight delay
Has Mike Costello been canned and smith walked in right over him?

Eubank looks a shell here. Maybe a repeat of first Smith fight
Crikey, he looks a bit off there.
So much drama over such a nothing fight.
They are trying to sell it like a reality TV show, because the reality is that two guys are cashing in on a premise that doesn't exist. All the best to them.
Eubank Jr looks ill, very drawn round the face and this is 6 hours after the actual weigh in. I thought Eubank would win this fight easy but seeing what he looks like here he wouldn’t beat Harley Benn
Eubank jr. said: “It is what it is. If they’re going to take half-a-million off me for being 0.05lbs off of the limit, then that’s just what it is. That’s the people that Eddie Hearn and Matchroom and Benn are.
“At the end of the day weights have no relevance to what happens tomorrow night. I’m going to go out there and I’m going to stop this guy.
“He’s in for a hell of a surprise. He thinks he’s going to go out there and hop, skip and a step and a right hand, as he says. He has no idea the pain that is in store for him.
“The rehydration clause is still in place, so I have to watch what I eat. I have to watch what I drink. But all these things are set up to distract; to displace; to try and get me off of track. None of it will work.”
“It’s an expensive price to pay, innit?” he said. “But it is discipline, so he should have made the weight. He’s made the weight his whole career. He’s expecting a little bit of sympathy but he ain’t got no sympathy round here.
“It’s a weight I feel comfortable at. I’m not a 160 fighter. I’m not a 154 fighter. I’m at 147 fighter. I’m going to go in there and use my speed; my explosiveness; my ferocity. It’s the way I fight, and that’s not at 160.
“I dunno if I’m supposed to look scared or intimidated. I’m neither. I’m just looking forward to Saturday night. We’re here now, and I plan on giving the fans the fight they want.
“I’ll admit what I’m there to do. I’m there to get the job done and get the stoppage. I’m coming in to take his head clean off.”

Nigel Benn talking up Conor's sparring was absolutely embarrassing
I think this fight will be a mismatch in all honesty, who has Benn actually fought? Chris Algieri? He's going to get hit back on Saturday and who knows how he will react. So far I've seen nothing to suggest he's at the level of Liam Smith that Eubank Jr took to pieces.
Sculls trainer made a video and Denzel Bentley said they made him wear 20 Oz gloves...
I’ve seen a clip of Bentley & Benn talking after the spar & I have never seen gloves as big. It’s like something from a comedy sketch.

I’ve said for years that Eubank has no business at 160. The only time he ever looked small at 168 was against Groves who was a huge weight cutter & massive for the weight class.
He didn’t have a shred of fat on him at 168. He should not be down at 160 at age 35 with a rehydration clause.
The whole sport needs Eubank to win this but after seeing the weigh in my confidence has dropped a lot.

This probably explains Senior's agitation.
He's been banging on about this since the doomed first fight.
Iv bet on Connor early. I liked eubank in this but he looks horrible and still has to stay dehydrated for another day.
Was a bit surprised in Connor coming in bellow the weight, don’t know what’s happened there . Thought he would be 170 ish and just have an easy cut and properly rehydrate..
If Benn goes hard early it’s hard to see eubank having his granite chin tommorow.
I know it’s a few years ago now, but when Eubank was in the wbss he and daddy were saying he could fight any one from 154 to 168. They were blaming his groves loss on that he was not a true super middleweight.

Worse I thought was how his voice sounded dry in the interview
