I see a well matched contest of sub par talent.
Abraham is strong, but he's weak of heart. I've yet to see an Armenian or Eastern European fighter that posesses the heart of a Mexican.
Brits generally have the big heart, but they seem to get lost on their way to victory. The Americans are just lost .
Abraham poses himself as a destroyer, women are for more dangerous.
Froch is a stand-up embarassment who best re-break this already broken boogy man, or forever hold his peace.
If he can't win here, chop him up and use him as fertilizer.

Back in the 1920's here in the states they banned alcohol. The era was called "Prohibition"- but every state had more operating bars in it than anyone can imagine- mostly called "speak-easys" back then. For some years before that, a few, but not all states here banned boxing too around that time. Boxers fought on boats on the water-to get around the state property ban on boxing. I am not suggesting that can happen over there either . But there are more than a few ways to skin a cat.

I'm sure there are guys there that wish to become boxers-though it might mean travelling, and hard to get licensed or sanctioned.

It a ban on arranging proffesional fights not boxing gyms. The idea of the boat has allready been talked of, theres talk of arranging a fight on the norwegian-danish ferry with our female boxing star, Cecilia Braekhus.
But having to travel often means quite poor economic chances for the fighters aswell as recieving few breaks always having to fight abroad. Thuss!!!!!! (and this pisses me of the most) I have to go abroad to see a live show

After taking a few moments to wrap my head around this, I really think this is absurd.Rick is absolutely right. With all the things that go on in this world (where boxing is accepted in most decent places) ; if two combatents that are properly trained, want to fight in front of a crowd, why Not ?
The logic that they can train there but not fight in the country is even more
absurd. Hopefully you can get some sportsmen in parliment there to over see the change someday. Usually with politics (especially here in the USA)
money is a driving force between everything. Maybe if the country realized it could hold a Pacman/Margarito fight , and tax the hell out of the production, and make money to line the pockets of the politicians like it does here, then maybe they will come around. What your country politicians need is more GREED than social awareness & caring heart. Something our politicians lost years ago.

Audie is the son of Art Aragon and was named for the former welterweight contender's friend, WW2 hero, Audie Murphy.
Audie isn't a boxer's, he's a dolly grip in the film industry and is working with me on "Spider Man-4" at Sony Studios.
I've known Audie since the late 70's, when we both broke into the film industry at Universal Studios, and when we cross paths on film sets it's always a great chance to discuss the career of Audie's dad, who is the real Golden Boy.

Yesterday, we were discussing former promoter Don Fraser and Audie told me he's known Don his entire life, and that Don and his mother had both worked in the same bank as tellers when they were young.

Both Anthony Small and his boxing career lost their way earlier this year but the former British and Commonwealth light-middleweight champion who has announced his retirement from boxing at the age of 29 did enough in six years as a pro to warrant some sort of a tribute, as unpopular as he is right now.

Small is an attention-seeker. He did not fancy the idea of rebuilding his boxing career in the shadows and chose other ways to court publicity. I remember Small, who was on his way to the ring, turning and barking several excitable words in my direction after I mentioned his name to a friend. My overriding memory of him is the way he staggered across a London ring to complain to referee Howard Foster, who had just rescued him against Bradley Pryce in seven rounds in 2007. Small was clearly 'gone' but the stoppage cost him his unbeaten record and a feeling in the trade that Small was headed for big, big things.
After Pryce, you knew that Small was good but not good enough.

I talked to Don Fraser about this today and he told me that after he finished his hitch in the Army, he worked at a bank on Main Street in downtown L.A. and at the time Art Aragon's first wife also worked there as a teller.

Carl Froch fought like a man who felt he was invincible when he dropped a unanimous 12-round decision to Mikkel Kessler last April in Denmark. However, like Froch, Abraham comes off a humbling first defeat. He was frustrated by the slick, talented Dirrell earlier this year in the States and, way behind on points, whacked Dirrell on the floor in the 11th round after a slip, and was slung out.
Now with a record of 31-1 (25), "King" Arthur first came to prominence with a unanimous points win over Froch's then stablemate Howard Eastman in a 12-rounder in 2005. Two fights later he picked up the IBF middleweight belt by blasting Nigeria's Kingsley Ikeke in five rounds and went on to make 10 successful defences, some of them spectacular, prior to his fledgling super-middleweight campaign.
For his part, Froch, 26-1 (20), dominated the domestic super-middleweight scene for many years, stopping men of the calibre of Brian Magee and Robin Reid, before graduating to the WBC super-middleweight title with a thrilling decision over top Canadian Jean Pascal in 2008, now the WBC light-heavyweight champion, a belt Froch retained twice up to Kessler. The sheer size of Froch might surprise Abraham, who has yet to really 'grow' into the 12 stoners. Froch's durability may also surprise Abraham, so used to bowling over the middleweights.
Nevertheless, this is classic pick 'em, one of those rare meetings on which you would never bet your house. Personally, I lean towards Froch, after one almighty struggle.

I'm only interested in the Jets this season, win or lose.
No Jets, no football for me on this holiday.
Last week I looked to see if the Jets were televised locally and they weren't.
So as I sat writing on the computor, I followed the game on line.
I was very happy when the Raiders came to L.A. as they were still THE RAIDERS.
First season here they brought L.A. our first Super Bowl trophy.
After that, they seemed to go Hollywood and fell apart.
I was glad when Al Davis packed them up and moved them back up North.
Maybe it's better if we in L.A. don't have an NFL team?
I'm enjoying the Jets and the quarterback who couldn't get a snap playing behind Matt Leinert at USC.
Sanchez is learning, and doing pretty good for a young QB. I believe he will get better with time.

I'm planning on eating excessively and becoming uncomfortably full today. It's the means to my goal I'm looking forward to. Have a nice Thanksgiving everyone.

I was talking football with Don Fraser this morning and I told him I was only following the JETS, he told me the only reason I was doing that was because they have a Chicano QB, I told him that we all have our faults.....
