Australia to get 0 points in the World Cup is 5/4
Re: Betting thread
Good bet. Feel sorry for Chile. Had they been in any other group, I reckon they would have gone far. Some top players in the team but can't see them progressing past Spain and Holland.Chris W 1982 wrote:Australia to get 0 points in the World Cup is 5/4

Martinez over Frampton is 4-1.? I'm not taking it and obviously Carl has already bested Kiko; but I feel those odds are long
Re: Betting thread
Agree with you re the Martinez price, he seems to believe he can take anyones head off these days, i guess that's what being a world champion does for ya, it will be a tough night for Frampton for real

i had a fiver on ronaldo top goal scorer @world cup and portugal to win @66-1 simply thinking if portugal are to do anything then ronaldo will have to score a lot and he's able to do it .

Ladbrokes offered a stake return if mex v cam was 0-0. If they offer it on Spain vs Holland it might be worth a punt on BTTS.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Both Teams to score Spain - Holland - 5/4!

Don't think I'll be making many football bets, but I might do a small accumulator involving Italy, to take the pain off if they beat us.
Re: Betting thread
Blackpool's Brian Rose faces a stiff challenge against the unbeaten Demetrius Andrade for the WBO light-middleweight title in the States tonight.
Southpaw Andrade has racked up 20 wins since turning pro as a celebrated US amateur in 2008 and he picked up the WBO belt with a decision over the previously unbeaten Vanes Martirosyan in his last outing: a hard-earned split decision. It was a 12-rounder that tested the character of Andrade, who was down in the first round. He outworked a dispirited Martirosyan down the championship stretch.
The champion is one of those box-fighters who holds ring centre and fires off quick, educated, heavy shots. Rose is more of a punch-picker so he needs to either counterpunch effectively or push his man back effectively, and both tasks look exceedingly difficult. Nevertheless, Brian came through a bruising 12-round with Argentina's Javier Francisco Maciel last year in Sheffield to earn his shot and he dominated the domestic light-middleweight scene before that. His only defeat in 27 outings is a heavy one at the hands of Birmingham's Max Maxwell in 2010 but he subsequently avenged it in a 12-rounder to show real character of his own.
Can our man do it? They breed 'em tough in Blackpool (think of Brian London) and Rose will have a real go; however, Andrade, on home soil, looks too tasty.

Re: Betting thread
Regardless of the nations predictions towards Brian Roses shot at the WBO light middleweight title tonight. I think the odds represent great value for a fight that I predict to be closely contested. Albeit a difficult task but by no means impossible.
I have punted 200 @ 6s for the win, 66 @ 15s for points win and 142 for points win @ 14s.
Th odds represent great value where as a fighter generally with odds such as these have no chance in winning where I do give Brian a chance. 70/30 Andrade taking in fighting away on home soil taken into account.
Hes won me a mint in the past before so If this doesn't come in I shall have no complaints.
Good Luck Bri, do yourself proud and fight out of skin. AndTheNewwwwww

I think the bet of the week was Rose to get stopped. Couldn't see anything else. I believe it was 1.80 decimal which is 4-5 I think? Didn't post or even Put money on as I got too involved in World Cup. Oh well

I wish I had put big money on Kingman who romped home at Royal Ascot today. I also had the same wish with Australia in the Epsom derby a few weeks back. Live and learn.
