Watching these shenanigans over the last couple days , couple things raised my eyebrows at

1-- I read these scales have not been caliberated , and there not official BBBC scales , if thats the case i would'nt be paying jack squat , and i would DEFINETLY have 500, 000 reasons to ask for a calibration certificate , what is this ameteur hr , So summising he has to pay it , is the money took out of his purse pror or does he have to physicly sign a cheque and authorise it , in which case i'd say stuff em , no calibration certificate , no payment .

2 ---- We all seen the video of Chris , stripping down and wringing a gallon of sweat out of his headband , that raised my eyebrows just how much fluid he was losing on an already dried out body , just seemed very excessive to me , sure there were no empty saucepans around , but if true , where is the doctor in all this where is the duty of care from the well paid BBBC , did they make him have a fat / muscle test , to see what % he has lost .

3 --- After this is all over if Chris prevails looking at him , he looks like he just escaped from the river krai then the whole boxing world in Britain need looking at , the BBBC needs to be disbanded , for the greedy toothless tiger they are , looking at Eubank and hs condition physicly , if he wins its gonna be more through Benn being worse than we thought than anything else , he looks like death warmed up , and they have allowed it wheres there rules wheres there , power to stop anything , . If he gets hurt there gonna wash there hands of it , , they are quick to fine him 100 grand for a egg slap , but have they been keeping an eye out on Benn , just look at the size of him , he's come up in weight , looks in good nick , have they said is he going for 3 times lucky . have they brought serious protocols in for a convicted 2 time drug cheat .

More i look at this , the more i believe that Chris is in debt , big lifestyle , expensive lifestyle and needs the money , Benn and his father on the other hand , well i can't hold the pair of them in any more distain than i already do .

I'm starting to think Ccris snr is the only one out there who really does see it for what it is , and the toothless tiger BBBC should be told by chris , foook offf and whistle for your 100 grand , cos what you gonna do about it , Can't stop Benn can they , this is what fight number 3 since they caught him out TWICE

Sounds like Eubank has really struggled to make the weight here ..and judging by that photo from a couple of years ago when he made the weight for the aborted fight, it must be true.

I do remember David Haye conned Enzo and co
that he’d had a nightmare making weight, before turning up to clatter him in short order.
The gloves issue is between the respective camps, not the Board - so it depends whst the contract says. Eubank's advisor is wrong about the Brook fight. Kell changed gloves after a lawyer went through the contract backstage and said that if he didn't change them he would likely be in breach of contract and not get paid. The Board had nothing to do with it.

Eubank's weight issues are real and have been for years, he was going to move up but the first Benn fight came along and the money offered for that was crazy compared to what he's had before. He took the decision to cut to 157lbs then and it has properly screwed his body up and he's too old to put it right.

I see, quite different then, potentially ..yeh agree the weight issue looks really alarming - I really like Chris Junior these days, I love the way he shut down motormouth eddie and Smith on the stage there. I hope he weathers the early storm, chin holds up, and takes Connor out and that’s the last we hear of him.

Eubank’s advisor is Maz Majeed. He was convicted of spot fixing in cricket a few years and has also served time for tax fraud I think.

The Brook/Khan gloves thing was different. Brook had a clause in his deal that face Khan some control over which gloves Brook used. That contract would have heavily favoured Khan.

I’d imagine Benn/Eubank’s contracts are pretty standard and Frank Smith seems to be a detail person so I’d be surprised if he’s wrong here and that there was anything contractual re: horsehair.

Eubank may still try and play games with it but legally he may not have any grounds and he also doesn’t want to piss off Turki. They’ll have a curfew so it’ll be risky pushing it.

Interesting, yeh I’ve heard of that Maz character now you mention it - The guy looks seriously frazzled there- probably due to the endless weight struggles of his man.

That Turki is a wolf in sheep’s clothing isn’t he - all

Thanks, just had a look ..yes the guy clearly knows his stuff, but seems to be underplaying weight struggles Chris is facing..no idea how you rehydrate after the check weigh in this morning.. I guess you can go to any weight for next 10 hours to first bell - sounds a nightmare

A couple of mates are going watch it at the pub tonight. I might join them for the main event as it’s 5 mins away..I’ll definitely watch the undercard in peace at home. But it’s such a bizarre event. God knows who will be watching it there tonight. I might just stay at home in case there’s mainly Benn fans there

Frank Smith was saying Benn just needs to wear gloves accredited by the board.

Shalom is claiming they’ve got a signed deal banning Benn from wearing horsehair gloves.

If their deals were done independently with Turki then both could be right.

The video I saw of it showed the board member (old guy - I forget his name) say they had been calibrated. Then seeing guys put random weights on them looked strange though. If the scales had been properly calibrated then as long as it’s recent then I’m not sure there’s an issue?

Re: Eubank’s weight loss, many championship level fighters do similar. Eubank had a check weigh in a few days ago and the board were comfortable with that. I don’t know if he had a fat/muscle test. I doubt the board have criteria over that I.E. if it drops to a certain level then no fight so I’d be surprised if he had one.

I’d imagine/hope Chris would have been checked by a doctor a few times before the fight. I’m not sure what they can do though unless Eubank tells of issues or shows severe signs of dehydration.

We’ll always have this issue with day before weigh ins whereby guys who should be fighting in the weight division above force themselves down. We’ll need a significant change in rules to change that.

I’d imagine Benn will be walking first so could be another Brook/Khan situation.

The difference there was Brook contractually was in a weak position so had to cede.

Here it may be a case that both are contractually fine in what they’re saying. If Eubank does refuse to walk unless Benn changes gloves then Benn could quite rightly refuse.

I’d imagine team Benn will be preparing for that potentially happening and wont budge so the only person it will really piss off is Turki as it’s embarrassing and there’s a curfew.

Let’s see what happens.

Could be promotional stuff - who knows.

I think Benn uses the same gloves (but bigger size) in sparring so no surprise he went for them. I wouldn’t read too much into him only trying one on - I don’t think CEJ even selected his own gloves. It’s something that, strangely to me, is often left to training teams to choose.

Yes, the main reason I disagree with you about Eubank at 160lb is the rehydration clause. He has been tight at the weight for years but has been able to get away with it due to rehydration not being so much of an issue. Having to stay tight or re-cut is very, very taxing.

Ring are paying for it.

It’s the COO of Ring who’s holding the belt - he’s called Rick Reeno. He looks like a choad holding the belt and is coming across as a bit of a prick. Thinking he’s the big man when in reality it’s Turki who’s financing it all.
