Worrying weight cut for Chris, really hope he wins.
This is definitely a cross over fight that they’ve hyped well, even my missus is watching it

Seems Eubank still hasn’t turned up for the 8am second day weigh in.
His team are saying he’s still asleep. Harlem Eubank tweeted earlier that rehydration clauses are nasty business.
Makes me think CEJ is having to cut again.
Yes, the main reason I disagree with you about Eubank at 160lb is the rehydration clause. He has been tight at the weight for years but has been able to get away with it due to rehydration not being so much of an issue. Having to stay tight or re-cut is very, very taxing.
I don’t like rehydration clauses but I’m not surprised Team Benn asked for one considering the obvious size difference. That doesn’t mean Team Eubank has to accept it. Everything’s a negotiation. They perhaps could have accepted less money but have no clause in the deal.
It gets to a point where team Eubank need to look after their man. If he’s not in a state to box then don’t let him. Or stop pushing him and pay the fine.

I suppose there will be another fine for that too
Only if he doesn’t make it. I think he can weigh in later for it and make 170 but that obviously gives him less time to then put more weight on pre fight.

Really? Has it been aired?
Wonder what he’ll weigh on the night. Do you think he’ll feel ropey in the ring after all this cutting

They shouldn't be legal. The authorities in this country are such a shambles. Imagine someone that's involved in licencing fights see a contract that says a fighter has to fight in a state of dehydration and they think yeah, that seems perfectly ok. Heads should roll.

I can't find it on the normal sources and yes Sean I think it's going to affect him massively.
I really want junior to win , but don't think he will after all of this .

Can’t see how it won’t affect him. See a lot of people saying he will be 180 by the time he gets in the ring but the damage (if there is any) would of already been done

Can anyone explain to me how/why Connor benn weighed in at 156 yesterday and 165 today?
Did he legitamently just accidentally cut 9 lb instead of 5?
It’s a minor issue, but I just can not see why he would do that to himself and surely a pro team would never get it that wrong…

They’re relatively common in big fights. I’m pretty sure Floyd had them in some of his fights (I remember him having one for Canelo). Tank has them for some of his fights (most notably Ryan Garcia).
Obviously the IBF has them for all title fights bar heavyweight. They do this because they’d chose that over having bigger weight disparities between fighters.
I’m sure the board don’t particular like them but other than change their rules or pull Eubank on doctors advice there’s little they can do.

He may have a done a session yesterday morning. When you’re well hydrated and not close to your minimum weight it’s easy to gain/lose weight.

When you aren't tight at the weight, manipulating your carbs for a day or two is simple and no stress on the body. Conor depleted his glycogen stores and the water that is held with that glycogen and that's it. Chris needed to do that and dehydrate himself by sweating, cutting his water, sitting in the hot bath, etc.
Search how to deplete your glycogen and do it yourself, it's easy and doesn't do any harm. Just carb up the next day and away you go.

I know it’s not a hard cut. But it’s still something that slightly depletes you from optimum. I’m just suprisee he didn’t come in 159 comfortably and have very little stress on his body.
As good as weight cutters are, cutting 9 lb is still sub optimum compared to cutting 5 or 6..

Just playing catch-up with all of this and share the views of others re. how Eubank Jr looked in that footage - feel it could be the shell of the man stepping in the ring this evening based on this evidence. The events of the past few days just serving to confirm what a pantomime this all is. Some of the nonsense surrounding this is enough to make Don King blush
.

So what would Eubank eat today... How many meals and what time would he last eat to try and get his body back to anything near normal from all the cutting?
