I'm hoping Fury proves me wrong because I really thought he would make the Usyk fight.

And if it was down to genuine contract disputes, he would then take on someone decent on the same date.

The idea of lineal's okay until you hold it to ransom, and even in the fab four's day McCallum was sidelined.

If we agree that Ortiz is Wilder's best win, Ruiz shares it now, and only Joshua's faced him so far. Fury's gone 7 years calling himself lineal (Joshua also beat Klitschko straight after, of course) but only fought Wilder and Whyte. He didn't know Whyte'd turn up in poor condition, so I'll credit him for that.

Otherwise, Fury and Wilder have just fought each other. There's no Usyk or Joshua or Joyce or Ruiz on either's record, so lineal's irrelevant at this point. To say that Fury needn't fight Usyk and Joshua if Wilder beats them is stretching it to absurdity.

Re: Joyce, the other top names seem happy to freeze him out until he's in his 40s. And the sad thing with modern boxing is that I expect it to happen.

If Wilder was to beat Usyk and AJ , theres no doubt Furys stock would go up again , BUT lets not forget Wilder has probably the worst record of all for not taking or making fights against anyone other than hand picked sub par opponents ,

Ok he fought Fury , but cast your minds back he gave Fury a shot when he was coming off a long break , been terribly out of condition and he expected a walkover ,, second one he took , because he genuinly thught he won the first , 3rd well i don't know money , contractual , whatever but he did'nt think he could get hurt too much .

But its well documented he did refuse the AJ fight said it himself , he was ordered to fight Ruiz and thats not happenned , in fact who's suer he's actually going to fight again at all . Wilder - aj - Usyk - Joyce - Ruiz just is'nt going to happen Wilder is finished at top level , Tyson proved it was all a smokescreen with him , showed up his lack of genuine skills and talent , and to get in the mix he's gonna have to fight and beat guys he's spent a carreer ducking .

Fury really needs to fight AJ - Usyk to get back the adulation he used to have and seems to need , if not them definetly Ruiz and or Joyce .

Personaly i think two things happened here , both which have contributed to Tysons fall from popuarity

1 -- Dubois was made mandatory for Usyk , Fury decided to pull out, stuff everyone about , because he knew Usyk would have to fight Dubois then instead , Tysons going to sit back hope that Dubois lands an hail mary ounch , takes Usyks belts , then become the new knight in shining armor , come along and beat Dubois and declare himself the greatest boxer to ever lived

2 --- His Father got out of jail and got involved

I believe he was in Sheffield ready to fly out to Moscow before the fight was called off.

In the papers today they talked about Fury v AJ in December, with AJ sitting it out until then.
Who knows? I feel Fury needs to stay active to keep his body and mind in check.
Maybe AJ doesn't want to risk losing and is waiting for his pension payoff.
