BT Sport runs at a big loss. It’s all about broadband and enticing subscribers to that and their Sport arm is a splash in the ocean.. It’s possible they might chuck big dough at such a fight although I can’t see it being on anything other than Sky.
Fury needs to have a couple of warm ups first. If he comes back I’d personally like to see him give himself the best chance of beating AJ as opposed to just coming back for a cashout obviously.
Yes, they came up with BT Vision to protect the lucrative broadband business when sky launched their own broadband, along with Talk Talk and others, they were losing subscribers at a rapid pace as they couldn't offer them TV services.

I think he'll really struggle to motivate himself for warm ups,i still doubt he'll ever fight again anyway.

He doesn’t bring 50% of the commercial value to the fight. At least not at the moment. If he comes back, builds himself up, sells out at arenas etc then he may be able to justify 50% but I’d say the best he could get at the moment is 40%.

Just get him back out regularly and then let the promoters worry about the money. Ultimately it shouldn't matter to fans.

Watch the ppv money those two will bring. It will be insane.

I’ve no doubt that it will but AJ is already doing big big numbers on PPV (particularly against Klitschko). If I were in AJ’s team, I’d find it very difficult to agree to 50/50.
Hopefully Fury can get himself fit, active and can avoid making the same mistakes (he should stay clear of iFL!) he made after he fought Klitschko. I’d love to see the fight made. Some days I think Fury will outbox him, others I think AJ will be able to close him down, land his shots and KO Fury. I’ll be loving it if it gets made!

Joshua is so obviously a far more attractive prospect from the commercial side of things that anyone pretending they're equal is clearly either ignorant or on the wind up.
I know your reply will be 'the fight will break records and it's massive,' and yes it is, but Joshua sells more tickets by the tens of thousands and does infinitely better at PPV sales, therefore he's going to get the bigger share. It's painfully obvious.

It'll matter to the fans if stupid offers that are clearly unrealistic stop the fight happening.
Joshua does 90k v Wlad and breaks PPV records. Fury does less than 10k tickets against the same opponent and his PPV figures by comparison are tiny.

I think you'll find Tyson had his last fight on PPV less than a month before Josh on the same platform. Tyson outsold him.... There were over 50,000 people at the fight, too. Josh didn't sell out The O2.... #facts.

I think you'll find that when comparing them like a sane person would Joshua is clearly miles bigger.
The worry is this tactic serves to bottle the fight much like Tyson bottled the two Wlad rematches.

And what's happened since? Petty squabbles over this stuff are pointless. Joshua is the biggest draw in the sport now, that's a fact.

If Fury holds out for a 50/50 split the fight won't happen. Joshua, if he keeps winning, holds the cards.

Doesn't hold any cards. Go back to being a Sven Ottke, then, or fight the real champ?

It's not though! GGG v Canelo 2 will absolutely hammer any ppv money AJ-Parker does. Floyd did it x20 against a no bouter!

Current champ with belts and massive stadium/PPV records holds more cards than former champ (however 'real' he may or may not be) whose had one stadium fight as the B-side IMO

They'd hammer Fury-Parker by a bigger margin than they hammer AJ-Parker

Not sure of the exact figures, but it seems like all of his recent paydays have been 20 Mil plus. Honestly if I made the kinda money Canelo does, even as young as he is I'd probably be about ready to call it a career by the age of 30 or 31. No need to hang around until you start to slip when you've already made enough to retire on.

You talking tickets or ppv now? You seem in denial that Joshua can sell 80k tickets in about 10 mins.

He isn't the biggest draw in boxing! Both bouts I mentioned could have fought in an empty room and generated at least 10x more.

Isn't the question about Joshua and Fury? Joshua is clearly the bigger draw of the two, hence he has the right to expect the bigger percentage.
Pretending Fury should get 50/50 is an easy way for Fury to avoid the fight. The boxing equivalent of a football chairman not wanting to spend any money but claiming he was after loads of players - just failing to accept the bids were derisory.
