that's very dystopian James, you've made me feel like I'll never escape local government and I left in 2018!JamesPhilips wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 16:02Once we’re part of an insular organisation, we never really leave.

Thanks Veriton. Appreciate that. Really pissed off about all this. Modern world I suppose.veriton wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 00:54 Man with passion for boxing history has link to boxing infrastructure, shock. The bloke clearly lives and breathes boxing so it makes sense and i dont see anything wrong with it.
Sad some people have a go at someone who does so much for boxing. He's making sure people aren't forgotten and writes with genuine warmth about boxers.

Hmmmm some people would say that rather than get upset about a few words on a niche forum, what you should be really caring about, especially as a then BBBofC director, is allowing a boxer with a brain anomaly known by the board, and who almost DIED and is now completely broke? What do you have to say about that Miles? That was on your watch right? And do you think it’s right, during your directorship, that a struggling largely unknown boxer lost FOUR prime years of his career, his mental and physical health took a huge downturn, all just for testing for an non performance enhancing recreational drug? A man who couldn’t afford the legal fees to contest it, because he was not a ‘star’….. Yet PED abusers are treated far less harshly? What have you got to say about that Miles? Also do you have to be on the square to be a board director?prewarboxing wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 11:31Thanks Veriton. Appreciate that. Really pissed off about all this. It's not like he turned up here in an avalanche of ass kissing after announcing himself as a BN writer

I don’t understand why you can’t be a respected boxing historian and a member of the Board of Control?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 15:19Answer the real questions Milesprewarboxing wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 15:12Nail on head.Coco wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 15:40 How do you get to be a BBBoC stooge? She. Alejandra Ayala. The story is very murky.
Some every member of the Board is accountable for everything that happens at the Board?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 18:28Well hopefully Miles can explain himself. And why he continued to act as a director despite those two high profile and immoral decisions.
lol if he’s a director it’s his job to know….. plus we as fans all knew but we’re supposed to believe an alleged ‘boxing historian’, expert and member of the board didn’t know? Are you suggesting the board don’t communicate or have meetings about serious issues!?Frostieballs wrote: ↑22 Oct 2024, 04:07Some every member of the Board is accountable for everything that happens at the Board?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 18:28Well hopefully Miles can explain himself. How do we know he even knew?
You can hardly be an independent journalist and be objective if you’re a member of a sport’s governing organisation.Frostieballs wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 18:10I don’t understand why you can’t be a respected boxing historian and a member of the Board of Control?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 15:19Answer the real questions Miles

He’s hardly trying to control a narrative over stuff that happened decades ago?
lol what on earth has Dick Tiger got to do with it?
Is this about Dick Tiger too Coco?margaret thatcher wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 15:41 experts can be falliable too . miles obviously knows a load but he did throw his pram out and started throwing insults around when i suggested that henry cooper was a liar (Re ali-cooper). i then posted a detailed follow up with evidence to back it up and then his responses suddenly stopped
What is he seeking to influence?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑22 Oct 2024, 06:31You can hardly be an independent journalist and be objective if you’re a member of a sport’s governing organisation.Frostieballs wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 18:10I don’t understand why you can’t be a respected boxing historian and a member of the Board of Control?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 15:19

It’s like Mauricio Sulaiman writing articles in a boxing trade paper… or expecting the Ring to be objective when it’s owned by Oscar de la Hoya.
James, why do you think Miles has to answer to you on this?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 15:19Answer the real questions Milesprewarboxing wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 15:12Nail on head.Coco wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 15:40 How do you get to be a BBBoC stooge? Is it paid work?
