Carl Thompson vs Sebastiaan Rothmann
Good win for Carl and an entertaining fight.
Rothmann had been through quite decent title-level Brits beforehand and was on a roll.
A bit of rarity as well because he was not the usual big, brawling Afrikaner dude but actually a Jewish Saffer. Then again Sid James dabbled in a bit of boxing and was a Saffer called Solomon Joel Cohen.

Benn v Galvano 1.
1992 WBC super-middleweight title, Italy.
Benn wins by 4 round TKO.
Heaven knows why, other than the fact that I am still a huge Nigel Benn fan.
Benn was pretty complete that night; very aggressive but in a measured way that made sure he was not cracked himself and also fought at a sustainable pace that was still far too hot for hometown boy Galvano.
It might be his more mature performance and when it mattered most - challenging in tricky Italy and with his middleweight days behind him and another loss being a huge problem - and he beat-up Galvano very tidily.
Galvano was not 'all that' but it was a difficult fight in a hostile place; pretty much perfectly executed.

Barrera v Marquez last night.
Despite Nady being a mong I give the fight to Marquez by one point - overriding Nady.

I somehow ended up watching Mike Hunter v Pinklon Thomas on YouTube the other day. A sad spectacle. Pinklon was so slow he might as well have been fighting underwater. His defence was non-existent and there was no sign of his once vaunted jab. Pinklon barely threw a punch in the whole fight. Hunter (who was nimble and crafty) quickly deduced that he was in with a zombie shell of the man who used to be Pinklon Thomas and showed no respect whatsoever.

I just watched Pink's bout with Alfonso Ratliff. A much better viewing of two young talented fighters.

"Fonz" was a big underdog against Carlos DeLeon for the WBC cruiserweight title but he showed a lot of balls to come through in a bruising 12-rounder in Las Vegas in 1985.
