Ruiz jr is 6ft 2". Fury is 6ft 9". For a boxer who monopolises his height to great effect, I just don't see how Fury can motivate himself to take on a fighter who's even shorter than his wife.

Perhaps Paris can be Tyson's gatekeeper. If you can beat Paris then you're worthy of facing Tyson.

A life-sized cardboard cutout in each gym should suffice.

Those risky fights were even before Ruiz beat AJ .. and even longer since AJ easily beat Ruiz in the rematch.

One things for sure is that Wilder, no matter how crude he is .. no matter how he telegraphs his right hand. He never fails to send Fury to the canvas.
So I guess for Fury Wilder will always present a risk. For any other top heavyweight it's hard to say because Wilder hasn't fought any

I won’t say he’s an easy fight - but I would say he’s only a European level test.

Sadly the Uysk fight didn't happen, but Fury had Wembley booked and was going to fight last night with or without Uysk as an opponent. Strange that there has been no news*. Presumably Fury won because no man born from his mother can beat him and all other opponents are just dossers and sausages.

Thankfully, we had the World Snooker Championship semi finals to watch instead, where all four opponents acquitted themselves so well, and delivered epic encounters. Proper sportsmen.
Meanwhile, Fury can't ever seem to agree terms with his closest competitors. With the exception of a couple of UK journalists, most fans, casuals and international journalists have lost interest in Fury, and lost confidence in his willingness to take part in meaningful fights where there is some jeapardy.
I think Dan Rafael's tweet reflects this shift in position.
