I was a boxing fan long before I ever watched MMA but are you going to sit there and tell me Thisbe stuff has never happened in boxing? That Boxings one time biggest superstar was a convicted rapist, it's current biggest superstar is a convicted woman beater etc.

I live in the real world where words about someone's family will rightly get you your ass handed to you. I would say it's not encouraged, but after seeing how they ran the bus attack for the promo to the fight, I would be lying. It's combat sports. The same people drawn to two men beating the poo out of each other most likely don't mind seeing some pandemonium outside the ring too. Maybe I'm wrong.
