It's perfectly reasonable to ask a man why he sees fit to publically diarise his boxing viewing habits for 135 pages, just as it's perfectly reasonable to say 'Actually, I really enjoy reading posts such as "Howard Eastman vs John Duddy" and "Howard Eastman vs Edison Miranda'." Fair enough, each to his own and all that. But counter puncher having a meltdown over it, and writing an eight paragraph rage-post full of F-words and C-words is not a good look for a grown man. I hope he confines his teenage strops to Boxrec and doesn't behave like that in the real world.

Good to have illustrated the reading level of the people who enjoy this stuff though
Your a bellend Billy and in the minority, take the L and move on son

Just watched Pazienza/Haugen 3 btw
Oh yes, I forgot the '6 people agree with me so I'm right' rule.

Was Paz/Haugen 3 a good fight?
Still 6 more than you though eh?

Was decent, Pazienza boxed a lot more clever than he usually does, never lunged in like he did first 2 fights and elected to box Haugen off the backfoot and won wide imo

Ah Billy is some of the aforementioned bellends, makes sense, don't think I've seen seen anyone agree with any of his posts, your not that Broughton fella as well are you Bill?? He's another one who clearly reads a lot about the sport but is more interested in what happens out the ring and has no clue about inside it

- Yo, Hands of Silly Putty, I actually quite enjoyed your obsession having gone through that phase in the glory days of YouTube before the Great Google Purge when you was probably still in diapers.

I got on you when you butchered the results of a fine fight and fighter that in no way matched your troll description. You being typically thin skinned of shallow of intellect as too often dominate boxing forums took grave umbrage. I let you beat your tyny fists on the floor without comment, but since you're clearly begging for more, start posting your reviews of the fights.

Any that you blow, I'll be happy to tear you a new one if there is any room left in that gaping hole of yours.

Otherwise, post away in peace...

Yer Welcome :TU:

Vinny Pazienza vs Lloyd Honeyghan
Too late in the day for the mighty Ragamuffin Man but he lasted decently late and went to fight on the road again to Atlantic City in search of another huge upset win :salut:

Rewind the clock a bit - drop the weight - and Vinny is getting taken out I think.

Yup, Vinny coming over to London would have had a night to forget/regret.

Yeh Honeyghan showed a lot more mettle here than he did against Breland when he looked a busted flush, bit of melee in the ring in the aftermath, ref never seen towel thrown in by Honeyghan's corner so pretty sure it was someone from commission who pulled Pazienza off and ended up pushing Honeyghan out the ring

I'm not even sure the was a towel, it was Larry Hazard, who was then the NJ commissioner, who jumped in the ring. He had previous for undermining his referees, and for getting his face all over the TV. Sort of like an earlier version of that gormless looking sap who turns up everywhere where there's a camera on Hayman shows.

Yeh that was the name that was mentioned I couldn't remember, it was Mickey Duff who threw towel in I believe and Hazard who jumped in because ref didn't see it but yeh he was a bit OTT i thought that myself

Calzaghe v Eubank
11 October 1997, Sheffield, WBO Super-middleweight title.
Calzaghe wins by UD over 12 rounds

Hands......I am endorsing this thread - kicking the naysayer into touch - and you can't watch everything mate :salut:

Calzaghe was the stand-out guy on the rise - the next superstar - and he'd finished some good fighters early and was a nasty puncher at this point before his hands became a problem. His last six opponents had not seen the sixth round.

Eubank comes into the fight after some demoralising losses to Steve Collins and some tricky fights with Ray Close - he's seemingly on the slide - but Eubank finds a way to survive a nasty knockdown and is making rounds messy, tight and hard.

I like the way Eubank embraces the challenge - you want yourself a world title, you have to take it fella- and how Calzaghe is sometimes missing and sometimes taking one in the mouth.

It feels like a classic cross-over fight - Eubank has some fire left, he's got a champion's pride and ambition - and Joe is learning that he can't slot everyone, all the time.

Yeh it was dire like, good ending but poor overall, Briggs must rank not long behind Liakhovich as one of the worst heavyweight champs ever, been watching a bit of him lately and my god he was boring, horrendous workrate
