I found some of Danas comments post fight ridiculous. He was asked if in the future he would try to stop fighters trash talking about someone's ethinicity or religion. He said no and trash talk happens in every sport etc and refused to say or admit that Conor crossed a line with some of his comments. I know that in nearly every professional sport league in the world right now if you insult someone's ethinicity or religion publically you are disciplined by the organisation so Danas reply saying it happens in every sport is complete bullshit. I found it frustrating how Dana refused to accept any blame upon himself or McGregor for setting the a poor standard after what happened in New York. he should be a politician.

Trash talkin is fine but trying to get to your opponent and kick him when your squaring off after a weigh in thats just a sh1t house trick,your gonna fight the next day so why try and break a finger or a hand or whatever? Because he was scared and wanted a way out,he tried to get out in round 2 while getting G+P but khabib didnt let him. He talks about the irish saying they dont run from no one and dont quit? well he quit and has done 6 times 5 of them he tapped out. He isnt all that and is a hype job,yes he puts bums on seats but he isnt the best MMA fighter and not by a country mile. He should be banned even from being in an arena. Dana White has made the UFC what it is today but Conor is gonna knock it back 10 years.

McGregor wasn't being choked - Khabibs arm wasn't under the chin. He was effectively just squeezing mcGregors jaw & face. He tapped because it was a bite sore not because he was going to pass out.

Well he didn't really get a chance to crank the neck, it was more of a jaw crush but Conor didn't try to fight it or deal with the pain. He just plain gave up. I've had that move done to me by someone who's much bigger than me and it hurts like fick but I at least tried to fight hands or get out of it before I tapped.

Conor wants the rematch now.

If they skip Tony, it will be infuriating.

p4p - that article you posted was spot on. Conor gets away with far too much. He's been doing it since he joined the promotion.

Kavenaugh was on Rogan's podcast today. He confirmed that the way Conor acts is his genuine personality. Whenever they have new sparring partners come in in preparation for a fight, they tell the sparring partner that it's a real fight, and Conor will be talking shit to them. His excuse for Conor's behavior is that it's just his personality. No shit. Doesn't mean it's right. Someone needs to put a leash on that tucker or something really really bad is going to happen to him. The UFC is largely to blame for letting this carry on. I used to like Dana. He states what happened Saturday night is disgusting. I say the lengths of his favoritism towards Conor is completely abhorrent.

I've said previously and I believe on this thread that Conor needs a new gym. The instructions inbetween rounds were shit, just like they were in the Mayweather fight. I doubt good instructions would've made a difference to either outcomes but IMO his instructions are often Edmund like and it sounds, from what you're saying it also sounds like the environment he has created in gym around Conor is similar to the set up Rousey had.

Agree with you 100% that just because it's someone's personality that it doesn't mean it's acceptable.

Mike Tyson was never beaten at his peak, Buster Douglas would never have beaten the 1988 Kevin Rooney trained Tyson, he only beat the 1990 version because he got a long count when he himself was down.
