It has been successfully shortening lives for centuries (even in Butte, Montana).
Absolutely 0 nutritional value. Milk alone is bad enough for an adult, add butter? Might as well start picking out a casket.
Guaranteed to create coronary and digestive challenges.

Diaz was the little monkey with the giant chin. Charlie hit him with everything and punched himself out. It took him two years to recover.Cholo wrote:Rick, Do you remember a fighter named Juan Diaz, Flyweight, boxed Charlie Magri here back in 1981 Diaz won by KO in 6.
I'll never forget it, Magri hit him with everything and the punches just bounced of Diaz. Another fighter always in a war Cornelius Boza Edwards, remember those fights with Bobby Chacon, Boza had another tough fight with Bazooka Limon when winning the WBC Super-Featherweight Title 1981, Stockton Cal....

This picture is fabulous and it answers a question I had about it, is there only one Lonsdale belt that is re-issued to each new champion-or is it multiple (as we see here) where the Champion keeps his prize each time ?bennie wrote:
Charley, a fighter had to win three British title fights to keep a Lonsdale Belt for life (today it is four). Henry won 10 British title fights and thus won three Belts, a record number. No British fighter has ever won as many as Henry's three Belts.CNorkusJr wrote:This picture is fabulous and it answers a question I had about it, is there only one Lonsdale belt that is re-issued to each new champion-or is it multiple (as we see here) where the Champion keeps his prize each time ?bennie wrote:

Don't know what it is/was, I do know that Aragon used it, it was then known as "New Skin". Back then I just knew what I read in the papers, was away reading that Art was threatening to pull out of fights if he was not allowed to use it, end of the day he was allowed to use it....Cholo wrote:Frank, Nice to have you back buddy, maybe you can help with the Aragon piece, what was Collodion, Frank?....kikibalt wrote:http://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/fb ... 1186556979

I remember watching Lauro Salas wearing something on both of his eyes in a fight against Jimmy Carter at the Olympic on Classic Boxing, Don Dunphy was the announcer and he mentioned it so casually I was stunned, I had never seen or heard of anyone being allowed to do it. It does make since on any terms, not just the fact that many a fight card has ruined by cuts but what about a fighters health.kikibalt wrote:Don't know what it is/was, I do know that Aragon used it, it was then known as "New Skin". There is no British HOF, although there is talk of setting one up. There would have been eight original Lonsdale Belts, Charley, after the British Boxing Board of Control was formed in 1936 (previously British fighters boxed for the NSC Belt). They must be in the possession of relatives of ex-British champions. Occasionally, very occasionally, a Lonsdale Belt pops up for sale.CNorkusJr wrote:I see, Thank You Bennie for clarification !bennie wrote:Charley, a fighter had to win three British title fights to keep a Lonsdale Belt for life (today it is four). Is there an "original" and where is it kept ?
In fact. Is there a British Boxing HOF located somewhere and have any of you lads got to it yet. ?
Frank, Thanks for your reply, I remember Mate Parlov having a skin like substance removed from his eye's in the ring before his WBC Light-Heavyweight Title fight with John Conteh in 1978.....kikibalt wrote:Don't know what it is/was, I do know that Aragon used it, it was then known as "New Skin".
