I just saw the Salvador Sanchez vs Wilfredo Gomez 35th Year Anniversary fight on YouTube. A classic fight between a counterpuncher vs complete slugger. They went at it like it should be. It was a magnificent performance by one of the all time greatest featherweight boxers. I saw Sanchez here at his very, very best. He really trained hard for this fight and gave Mexico probably the greatest win in their boxing history. It was The Battle of the Little Giants, and it sure this fight fit the billing. No featherweight in history beats Sal that night. It was one of the greatest boxing performances of my lifetime!

Just found Robert Quiroga v Kid Akeem Anifowashe. Absolute war, great fight.
That led onto Borboa v Quiroga, also well worth a view.

Davila/pintor was excellent too. I always liked Alberto. Surprised they haven't made a movie of his story.

Do you mind me asking what is his story that you are referring to?
I know your suggestions werent directed at me, but they peaked my interest. I watched both Davila/Duate fights last night and enjoyed them immensely. Actually never seen Davila fight before though ive seen some of his opponents. Its beautiful how he works behind his jab.
Anyway cheers for putting those suggestions out there... plan at watching more of both guys in the future...

Just his quest for a title, he lost to zarate and lujan, then had an emotional and controversial loss to pintor, off memory he also lost to Lora before finally winning a strap with a last round ko and his opponent died.

Alejandro Gonzalez vs Kevin Kelley
Brutal war right from the start,Gonzalez the challenger only 21 took the fight to champ Kelley and was beating him up in there,Kelley did land some cracking shots along the way but they just bounced off Gonzalez who finally put Kevin over in the 6th,credit to Kelley though he turned things right around with a KD of his own a couple of rounds later which kind of subdued Alejandro until he finally got his 2nd wind until Kelley was pulled out after the 10th with his eye closed
Tremendous battle
