Linares should fight Zlaticanin next, the guy he was stripped for not facing.

Linares by one for me. Early rounds Linares, middle rounds Crolla - undone by getting caught badly in the sixth - and then final rounds Linares.

Good fight, both fighters deserve credit. Always pretty close.

The Sky commentary was irritating dribble for the most part. Adam Smith has never been able to commentate action in the ring and Malignaggi is the guy if he were a taxi driver you'd slide the partition so you don't have to listen to him warbling on in his falsetto. Froch just agrees with whatever the person who speaks before him says.

I put the commentary on mute at the halfway point - first time I've ever done that.

Because...

ifs and buts - IF Crolla hadn't got walloped in the 6th.., IF Linares doesn't have enough left for another 12..,

Excellent radio 5 interview with Crolla and Gallagher.

Both extremely gracious in defeat.

Some of the scoring in this thread is bananas.
Watch it again without the Sky commentary. It was a close fight. Right man won but not by much.
Don't worry about that, I always watch sky muted for the big fihts.

Crolla - Linares

1. 10 - 9
2. 9 - 10
3. 9 - 10
4. 10 - 9
5. 10 - 9
6. 9 - 10
7. 10 - 9
8. 10 - 9
9. 10 - 9
10. 9 - 10
11. 9 - 10
12. 9 - 10

114-114 Even
I had the 1st as a 10-10 and the 8th to Linares. Other than that exactly the same. 116-113 Linares.

I thought the commentary was spot on. It was close and like I said I didn't score because I was enjoying the fight but it was clear to me that Linades was the better fighter in there. And the early low blow crap was very irritating, and I was impressed that Froch and Paulie called it.
He was the better fighter, I agree, but he lost a good few rounds too by letting Crolla outwork him mainly between 7-9 and I had him picking up 4 & 5 too. I scored the first even too which could have gone to JL but I think the 115-114 I scored was more accurate than something like 117-111. I'd be interested to know your scores if you get to watch it again. I might watch it again too

Ya.....Zlat is a bit wild, but he has more firepower than Crolla and times his punches deceptively well. I think he'd have a better chance of making Linares's fragility show.

Competitive fight in terms of the fight as a whole but on points linares won at least 4 more rounds when you look at them individually.

The low blow warnings were bollocks.

Think for Corolla to win the fight using those tactics he would have needed to also pepper the jab out in twos or threes. I think they thought linares would gas in the later rounds like I did but the guy was in far better condition than in his previous 2 or 3 fights.

When you are the only person on a boxing forum or Twitter or any other forum I have read so far that has scored it that way, could be an indicator that you are wrong. You really are a fecking gobshite horse.

Credit to the judging. I based my pick of Crolla by close decision on Him getting a bit of a gift at home.

Scoring it even (as Horse did) is not that far off, imo. Linares won but it was no blowout.

The judging for Crolla's title fights has actually been quite fair to the visitor.

If boxing did what made sense we could have Linares vs Zlaticanin and Flanagan vs Crolla with the winners then fighting each other.
