Groves didn't hit Jack nearly as cleanly On The Chen, though?

Anyone linked to Floyd should always be under suspicion

Anyone know what degales in injuries were in the end? Heard him mention that he'd lost teeth and you could hear it when he spoke.

i don't know about jack "juicing" though he certainly never seemed to tire at all by the end of the fight.i think it might just have been another case of a british fighter being a lot smaller than the american on fight night. it has always been an issue for me. the only uk fighter or the team behind them in relatively recent times that really grasped the importance of using every possible resource when doing the weight properly was scott harrison ,imo of course.
jack looked a weight above degale and the sheer effort of keeping a heavier man at bay for 12 rounds is bound to have an effect when there is not a great deal to separate the two ability wise . the fighters that manage that tend to be at least a level above the heavier opponent and a bit special overall.
does anyone know what the weights of degale and jack on fight night were ?

Groves hit him plenty just couldnt keep him at bay. Temple shots and everything. And still waiting on anything having an affect on him. Odd cause he was wiped out in one by edwards. Punch didnt even seem that hard either really. Jack was rolling about the ring if i remember right. It can happen tho.
Only seen jack the three times. Edwards. Groves and degale. In the latter two literally nothing stops him. That was my initial thought watching the groves fight before anyone mentioned it and degale one kind of backed it up for me. You dont see many guys like that. Maybe guys that take a great shot but not many that come straight back consistant with no or little slow down.
Maybe the guy above is right and it simply comes down to weight management. Will be interesting to see what now happens at the weight above. What gets me is hes good jack but he is dare i say it pretty ordinary. Just seems to be very very difficult to get to him.
Groves and degale arent exactly light hitters.

Has Jack been hurt aside from Edwards? Sometimes people just get caught cold before they've settled into the fight. Jack has to be one of the most underrated /discredited fighters of late; upsets Dirrell, drops and beats Groves despite consenus here being that he'd get mashed up, then does all the major damage and imo unlucky not to get the win over another guy clearly favoured to beat him.
And to top it off, because he did better than expected he's singled out for PED use.

I think when you see something a bit abnormal its right to question it. That stamina looks a bit unnatural to me. Never looks tired and both groves and degale were gruelling fights. Jacks came from nowhere really hence the reason hes underrated/been written off before. Watched the edwards fight both of them seemed like they wouldnt live with groves/degale/dirrell. Fast forward two years and a new promoter and hes the best in the division.
This is a guy thats got a split decision over brand and a draw with periban. The same guy degale knocked out in three rounds.

And before losing to Edwards he easily stopped Porky Medina, something Degale didnt come close to doing (or did Medina go on PEDs too just because Degale didnt look so good against him?). He was also very unlucky not to get the decision against Periban, and if you werent aware, fighters can improve. Remember Degale being shaken badly and going down to the wire against that Polish guy Curtis Stevens destroyed ?
Jack isnt a super high-paced fighter, so the stamina doesnt seem dodgy to me. Groves outworked him and he took a while to get going against Degale, with some slow rounds later on; he's hardly a non-stop, frantic punching machine.
He is probably better than you thought though, and maybe JD not quite as good.

Actually tipped jack to beat degale beforehand. Which imo he did. Knew after watching the groves fight he,d have a bit too much for degale.
Fighters do improve but its pretty rare they improve that much overnight without good reason. Degale was struggling with injuries. Only been a couple of years ago. Chuck in the fact a few mayweather fighters have been done for peds of some kind also.
You do have a good point tho. There has been a lot of guys that have improved with their competition.
Just saying what i was thinking watching the groves fight. At that point i d never really heard of the guy. But just looking on that one fight alone was thinking hes got to be on something. Nothing stopped him in his tracks and he took plenty from groves. It usually starts to deplete most guys.

Possible Jack has shown some technical improvements, under good tuition, and peaked at the weight in the last 3 fights, with the decline inevitable - hence the imminent move up in weight?
Also think he's been underestimated each time, Dirrell, Groves and Degale.
On the other hand, if a fighter has been "wronged" in some way or other, feels it's not fair - that his fill esrning potential is being diminished or threatened - does that give him more motivation and even justification for cheating?

Degale looking old there. Looks like he's going bald too, definitely receding. Which is ironic considering he was taking the piss out of Groves for going bald
