He had just been punched in the head once hard and the nuts 3 or 4 times, english was his second language he didn't know what the fk to say..

He's been speaking English alright since the first fight with his trash talk. Didn't know a low blow could make you forget you can speak another language.

I didn't think Kovalev won the previous 2 rounds. By the looks of him, it seemed he was fading. Most of the fight he seemed a bit slower and lethargic from the first fight. Which he faded in too and vowed he corrected.

Deep down, euros LOVE the controversial stoppage because it gives them a fake crutch and takes away from the fact that Kovalev was surely on his way to defeat. If thats a standing 8 count hes down 3 points on 2 cards heading into Round 9 in a fight where he was gassing badly. He was done. Stop with this nonsense. And this coming from a guy who started THIS thread stating he bet on Kovalev. I'm just being realistic.

I had Kovalev winning the first fight by a point. Close fight. Not a robbery.

I had Kovalev AHEAD slightly tonight as well but could how badly he was fading.

The reaction from Kovalev in the post fight from fight 1 to 2 was very telling to me. He didn't even sound like he wanted a rematch, was just saying it to say it.

I said he LOOKED unsure. I didn't say anything about what he said. He said he wanted a rematch but he didn't LOOK like he really want it. He LOOKED like he was just saying that to save face.

I haven't seen the fight yet, but low blows aside, these two seem to be pretty evenly contested. A third fight would be nice. Kov really needs to work on that stamina based on what I've read regarding this fight and what I saw from the first fight.

Golota had repetitive low blows, on purpose, with warning and deductions. Ward hits him with one low blow, that the ref might not of even seen, at the end of the fight. If Weeks saw it, a break for Kovalev should have been given. If he didn't, he should have given him a standing 8. Either way, Kovalev was probably done soon. Even before that low blow, he looked defeated and a look of quit on him..

Andre Ward fought a great fight, his level of professionalism skill well being mentally and physically is world class ... he's a made guy.
He used a lot of energy early and clearly signalled that he was willing to throw hands from the get go, he didn't looked intimidated or unnerved at all.
He easily dealt with the attempts to cut off the ring and seemed to incoporate it into his defensive rhythm , there were no meaningful attempts that shook disrupted or in any way moved Ward away from his game or comfort zone.
Sergey Kovalev looked sluggish slow and a shadow of the boxer we saw in the first fight.
In the dressing room he had on a white t-shirt and you could see how big he was in that, he came to the ring in a box like gown and had an expression on his face of tiredness, wear and tear and borderline personal dissapontment.
His timing sharpness and hunger had deserted him it was evident almost immediatly, there were those moments of mis-coordination balance and wild wide swings that indicate shortcomings.
Bad night for Sergey Kovalev.

Kovalev would've gotten points taken away or outright DQ'd. You've got to get a KO to earn a draw here.
