Both must really fancy it.

Credit to both men for surely taking less money for a behind closed doors fight (presumably PPV). Joyce doesn't have time on his side so can't keep fighting stiffs.

Looks a good card too with Yarde v Arthur and the Heffron-Bentley rematch.

It's simple...ask yourself if you'd like no fights at all, or fights with no crowds :TU:
I've been enjoying the sound without the crowd. Haven't seen a HW fight yet with no crowd, but the big shots should really crackle.

Totally agree. The good body shot sounds can make you double over. :yay:

This is going be a cracker. I think Dubois will have the better of Joyce but you never know with guys this big and strong. Would be fantastic if Hrgovic fights the winner. I personally thought he beat Joyce in the amateurs.

Exactly. Joyce's fight against the German bloke was good, the sounds of the bodyblows were visceral.

Fair play to Frank :TU:

So glad that not every decent card in November/December will be PPV.

Take heed Eddie.

Take note Eddie.

Looking forward to it. With Yarde v Arthur and Bentley v Heffron it’s a solid undercard of competitive domestic fights and we’re not getting rinsed on PPV for it.

I'm assuming its BT paying for this. Sky should take notice and do a deal for Whyte V Povetkin 2 :TU:

Really good move by FW/BT. Given the other fights around there would have been a danger it would have been forgotten about (by casuals) if it was on PPV.

Looking forward to seeing how smug FW is on his next IFL interview and also seeing Eddie push the ‘it was never a PPV fight’ whilst maintaining all of the Sky shows are.

Daniel Dubois vs. Joe Joyce Set For November 28

Hall-of-Fame Promoter allegedly has today revealed the highly anticipated Heavyweight battle between Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce will land on Nov 28th, live on BT Sport.

In an incredible reversal, the fight - the most significant domestic bout staged in the UK post-Lockdown and the biggest domestic Heavyweight clash in years - will now NOT be on pay-per-view.

The blockbuster November event, branded with the apt tagline ‘At Last’, will represent the final chapter in a saga that has seen April, July and October dates cancelled because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Warren was keen to point out that the covid outbreak and its negative effect on UK jobs and livelihoods was on his mind as he decided to scrap plans to make the fight PPV.

He said: “This is about keeping boxing alive and relevant at a tough time and doing something for the fans and we have moved heaven and earth to put this on as a BT Sport subscription Fight Night instead.”

“With boxing still being behind closed doors and struggling back to its feet post-Lockdown, I wanted to give something of a gift to British boxing fans. Dubois versus Joyce is the best fight on the British boxing calendar and I want this to be something as many people as possible can enjoy. It’s a bonus that the added exposure gained from the fight will really help the boxers as they move forward with their careers.

“Above all, this is about making sure that the fans are looked after and this fight will be available to BT Sport subscribers. Queensberry and BT Sport are looking forward to delivering a huge night of boxing, so let’s make sure the eyes of the country, and the world, are on British boxing come November 28th.

“I owe a huge debt of gratitude to BT Sport for being willing to make this happen.

“I sound like a broken record I’m sure, but sometimes you have to put the sport and the fans first. Queensberry gets that and BT Sport gets that. ‘For the fans’, it’s what it’s all about.”

Basically BT have been seriously unimpressed with the numbers FW’s awfully matched shows have provided.
FightCamp had far more quality and viewers.

FW doesn’t give us a fight free out of the goodness of his heart. BT need a show that makes their investment worthwhile. I can imagine some of the sponsors weren’t happy with the content.

FW probably loses money on this show but keeps his BT contract safe and the bigwigs on side.

Decent undercard to!
I’ll wait and see on the undercard. Given it’s available on standard BT it wouldn’t surprise me if we get a poor undercard and they save Yarde for another day.

I thought the Dubois fight was the highest rated of lockdown shows?
