I only ever believe that if the opponent comes out and says it.

To be fair when he fought Danny Whitaker I can remember it was announced he’d be on the card in Eddies garden against an as yet un named opponent. I messaged him on his Instagram and asked who the opponent was and he said Danny Whitaker, this was some 8 weeks out and Whitaker had only just fought, I forget against who. Then boxrec listed the opponent as Josh Sandland. No announcement or comments from anyone that this was the opponent, and then sure enough the week or fortnight before the fight Whitaker ends up being the opponent. Even then Whitaker came in 9-10lbs heavier than his previous fight so he can’t have been slaving away that hard in the gym.
Whitaker is not a slaving away sort of guy. He's back on the unlicensed circuit round here now.
For sure, no offence to him. I was more making the point that some guys get given a lot of notice and their preparation is no better and some guys like Jay McFarlane and Rob ismay recently, they get given good notice and quite clearly almost don't train at all.

Emilio salas.

Not the worst ever, southpaw is always a bit of an interesting detail. But 38, can make cruiserweight, knocked out early last fight, knocked out early two other times…. This is hardly “worth the wait” if they have been sitting on this anouncment for weeks….

I dont think we will ever see Fisher in with a good opponent, at least not until a money fight appears.

His annoying dad has done an admittedly great job building his brand and getting him wasy more attention than a boxer of Fisher's mediocre talents deserves. They won't want to mess this up by putting Fisher in with a decent opponent.

To be fair, he is new--and I think it is a bit early for him to step up just yet. But they'll likely have Fisher spinning his wheels, knocking out bums until he's 30-0.

Fisher is a good one to watch. Not sure how far he can go until he is tested of course.

Yep he will be protected for a while I think, if he's drawing big crowds they don't want him to lose.

This gimmick will dry up very fast if theres only 2 mins of mediocre action (a quote from the mrs, but it also works here...).

Needs Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko and Soko over 8 rounds as his next 2 fights.

Just watched babic vs Robinson. Robinson should be a future fisher opponent, tough, easy to hit, slow… (I’d like him to retire it was horrific but for fisher it would be great)

Johnny isn’t being as active as I thought he would be given he can afford opponents.

Dobvichenko, Nick campble, Steve Robinson, Webster, jay farlane, tshvenka, hose steward, dacres, Allen, babic… needs to start getting after em all.

At his age/levle If you have a 1 round knock over your next fight date should be announced within a couple weeks.

Fisher won't go far in my opinion, he will have some success as he has age and fitness on his side against a lot of journeymen he's fed but as soon as he steps up he will be found out. He's a ticket seller that's the only reason he's given as much attention as he is.

If he’s allowed to tee up Fisher really does hit very hard at this English level and below. I’d not be happy seeing Robinson put in with him after seeing the terrible Babic performance. Babic was sending a postcard second class that he was going to throw a winging overhand right and still Robinson wouldn’t get his head out the way.

Johnny hasn’t fought in the UK for 9 months now. Seems pretty weird for one of the few genuine ticket sellers left.

Feel like they were risking over doing it… but now I can’t help but feel they are under doing it. The fans can’t always go to boxing once every 8 weeks… but you don’t want to lose the momentum of a kinda stand alone event that is a Johnny fisher pub crawl /fight.

Standard for the novice heavyweights currently.

Moses Itsauma is the only guy fighting 4 or more times a year and that isn’t an exaggeration.

Sol Dacres.
Fisher.
Franklin Ignatius had a good win over Steve Robinson and since then nothing.
Moses Jolly fights very infrequently.
Nick Campbell hardly fights.
Tommy Welch. Jamie TKV. Adeleye. Matty Harris.

These are all guys who if they put two or 3 wins together in the next 6-9 months could be mandatory for the British.
