That was when he was in the UK wasn't it?

Why is it only being mentioned now?

Also, a lot of people do this. Not saying it's right.

I dreamt about this fight last night (weird, I know - I've very little interest in it).

It was Khan KO4.

I'm only posting this so I can dig it up if it happens.

Khan Gains Confidence From Working With Bomac, Crawford: I Can't See Brook Beating Me!

Bolton star Amir Khan is training hard in camp with new coach Brian 'Bomac' McIntyre, who works with several boxers including WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford.

Khan is going to face career rival Kell Brook in a grudge match of former world champions at the AO Arena in Manchester. The fight will take place on February 19, live on Sky Sports Box Office and ESPN+.

Their bout sold out in ten minutes, as the British rivals have been trading words for several years. The loser will certainly spiral down into retirement.

Khan believes the ongoing work with Bomac has rejuvenated him as a fighter - and he expects a statement making performance.

"I'm more confident. The way I've gone into training camp, and had a few sparring rounds with Crawford, and my sparring work and pad work with Bo-Mac and everyone, it's back," Khan told Sky Sports News.

"I feel like when I was 25, 26, and at the peak of my career. I can't see Kell Brook beating me. I'm a better skilled fighter, I've been in there with better opposition, but look, come fight night, it's time to show my skills off. I'm just going to keep calm, I'm not going to think too much or get over confident, because at the end of the day you can't get too confident about this because one punch can change a fight. I know what I'm doing. I've been in this position before. It's all about staying focused and just sticking to your game plan.

"This talk about Kell Brook has been going on for so many years, and I think it's a good time for me now to put it to a stop and show who the better fighter is. I know Kell thinks he's the better fighter, but time will tell come Feb 19th."

Undercard is gonna be cheap for this considering a lot of the ££‘a will be going into the main event.

No doubt, but good fights don't have to be costly, they just have to be close and exciting. Promotors are remiss in not realising that.

Amir Khan Expresses Drug Testing Concerns in Kell Brook Fight

In a recent interview, Amir Khan expressed his concerns regarding a lack of drug testing for his upcoming fight with fellow former world champion Kell Brook.

The long-awaited contest is scheduled to take place on February 19, at the Manchester Arena.

Khan has been inactive since July 2019, while Brook last fought in November of 2020.

The Bolton boxer is currently training in Colorado with new coach Brian McIntyre, who is best known for his work with former WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford. Coincidently, it was Crawford who knocked Brook out in the Sheffield boxer's last fight.

Khan has trained in the past with other high-profile coaches like Virgil Hunter and Freddie Roach.

To ensure both sides have an even playing field, Khan has instructed sports lawyer Geoff Cunningham to get the testing procedure rolling.

"I just sent a message to my wife the other day. I also copied my lawyer into it and it said 'Can you please push whoever, Sky or Boxxer, Mr Shalom, Ben Shalom, saying the testing needs to be done'. I mean, I'm sat here, there's no testing being done, why? I'm waiting to be tested. I'm the one who had to push that. I said, 'Look, why's the tests not been done?' It's a bit strange," Khan told IFL TV.

"Testing normally gets done when I normally work with VADA, or USADA it normally gets done like straight away. At a press conference they could turn up. But for some reason, I've been in camp for four weeks and there's no testing which has been done, which I find quite weird. Geoff Cunningham said to me, look it's in there, but I've not been tested yet and it's coming up to like my fifth week of training. I'm like, 'What's going on?' We want to be tested, I want to be tested because it gives me that peace of mind knowing that it's a fair fight."

Boxing brothers Adam ‘The Assassin’ and Hassan ‘The Hitman’ Azim have been added to the sold-out BOXXER: Khan vs. Brook card on Saturday 19th February at the AO Arena Manchester, live on Sky Box Office.

BOXXER Founder and CEO Ben Shalom, said, “I’m really excited to have both brothers Adam and Hassan on another big show. I love working with them and their potential is endless. The Azims lit up Wembley last month and they’ll bring their brand of excitement to Manchester in front of an audience that will love them. This is another massive platform for them to showcase their talent in front of a sold out crowd and live viewers on Sky Box Office.”

The new young stars of British boxing both delivered excitement and knockouts last month with Adam (2-0, 2 KO’s) flooring Stu Greener twice en route to a second round stoppage with a backflip to celebrate, whilst older sibling Hassan (1-0, 1 KO) stamped his pro debut with a stunning first round and one punch KO of Ivan Njegac.

They will join unbeaten cruiserweight talent and social media uber influencer Viddal Riley (4-0, 2 KO’s) who was announced earlier to feature on this event in his long awaited BOXXER and British debut. More names and fights will be added to the card in the coming days.

Adam and Hassan will get to showcase their skill and punch power to kick off a massive 2022 in their careers that will see their stock and profile rocket on the Khan v Brook card that completely sold out in 600 seconds - making it the fastest selling British boxing event in recent memory.

As youngsters, both were heavily influenced to start boxing by watching their idol Khan - who broke down racial barriers to become Britain’s first Asian boxing superstar when he won the Olympic silver medal in 2004 at just 17 and going on to become a Two-Time World Champion - and they can’t believe they are now going to be featuring on his undercard.

The gifted brothers, who won 16 National titles between them in the amateur code, hope to inspire the next generation of talented young Asian boxers coming through in the sport.

Adam said, “I am absolutely ecstatic to be part of the huge BOXXER event on the 19th February 2022 at the AO Arena Manchester. I remember watching Amir Khan as a mesmerized 6-year-old, I cannot believe 13 years later I would be fighting on Amir Khan’s undercard. It’s a dream come true. I hope that we can have the same effect that Amir had on us and get more youngsters into boxing.”

Hassan added, “It’s a privilege to be on the Amir Khan vs Kell brook undercard. I became a boxing fan because of Amir Khan and I cannot comprehend the excitement of now fighting on the undercard. Thank you to First Access, Sky Sports and BOXXER for making my dream come true.”
Well he seems to have the same chin as his hero

Interestingly Eddie has announced a show every Saturday of feb and March except this one. Considering he was downplaying it as a ppv still seems scared to go head to head with it,

Edit:: scrap that, DAZN already have a goldenboy show that date.

Khan is a good boxer, with power (not a big puncher)but can not able to take a big punch.
Brook have power and have skills and can take punch but is not the fighter after his lost to GGG. I still favor Brook.
But my big question is... What if Brook team did not become illusionist by setting up a against GGG and instead of building the boxer up again, they let them fight the dangerous Crawford.
In track and field, there is a term, fastest looser, therefore, this is a match between 2 great looser.

Press Release | Frazer Clarke is Pumped To Make Pro Debut

Olympic heavyweight hero Frazer Clarke, who captained Team GB at the 2020 Olympic Games and won a medal for Great Britain, will make his highly anticipated professional debut on the undercard of Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook, which is taking place Saturday, February 19 at the AO Arena Manchester, exclusively live on Sky Box Office.

Clarke, from Burton, Staffordshire, signed an exclusive long-term promotional agreement with BOXXER and Sky Sports soon after announcing his decision to turn professional in the wake of his Olympic triumph

As he begins his professional journey, Clarke is set on replicating the success he had as an amateur, where his honors included a bronze medal in the super heavyweight category in the Tokyo 2020 Games, a gold medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games and gold medals at the 2014 and 2018 European Union Championships.

Anthony Joshua - Clarke’s former sparring partner at Team GB - will play a key role in guiding him on that journey, with Clarke having signed to Joshua’s 258 MGT management label.

“I am delighted to be making my debut on such a big night for British boxing. Both Amir and Kell are legends so to be on their undercard is amazing. Burton is my hometown and a place I love but Manchester holds a special place in my heart, so to start my journey in front of their fans is special. Training is going great and I am 100% focused on putting on a spectacular and entertaining show for everyone in the pros.” said Clarke.

Ben Shalom, BOXXER Founder and CEO, said “It was a proud moment for everyone at BOXXER and Sky Sports when the Team GB captain chose to sign with us and it’s fitting that he will begin his professional journey on the same card as his fellow Olympian and Team GB trailblazer Amir Khan.”

Freddie Cunningham, Managing Director at 258 MGT, said “As captain of the Team GB Boxing team and given his achievements as an amateur, Frazer deserves the biggest possible platform for his debut and Khan v Brook is that. Frazer has a great set up at Loughborough and will be in great shape for his pro debut.”

Adam Smith, Head of Boxing Development at Sky Sports, said “We were all so thrilled when Frazer signed an exclusive deal with BOXXER to showcase both his skills and personality on our huge platform. We have built all the British heavyweight stars on Sky Sports and will do everything we can to help Frazer become the next one. The Team GB Captain has the experience, minerals and popularity to appeal to a cross over audience and the huge Khan-Brook show in Manchester on February 19th is the perfect stage for the launch of his enticing professional journey.”

Former unified light-welterweight world champion Amir Khan has revealed he is battling multiple injuries ahead of his fight against Kell Brook.
After 10 years of quarrels back and forth, fans across the UK can finally look forward to Khan’s encounter with Brook as the fight is pencilled in for February 19.
Both fighters won’t be afraid to admit they’re past their prime, but Khan is training hard in Colorado in preparation for the big finale.

The 35-year-old said: “When you're at the elite level, we always have to overcome them pains and override them.
“I've got pains and I've got injuries when I'm in training.
“I've had to spar today, and I still have to overcome them injuries, I can't think of them - I've just got to get on with them.
“As you get older - I'm 35 now - it's not like when you're 25 where you recover after a tough session.

Now the body takes a bit of time but it's good because I know if I continue pushing myself with those pains and aches, then I'll be fine come fight night

doesn't sound good from khan could be tongue in cheek stuff

No - doesn’t sound good.

There’s not only the chance of him pulling out due to injury but also the chance he’ll be forced out and sent to Pakistan when lands back in the U.K.
