Fish eyes has a massive dint in his noggin

I don't even think Joyce looked that slow tonight and his punching and pressuring was elite level, it was a pummeling and the left hook for the KO in the 11th was spectacular, the juggernaut rolls on
Yea, i actualy did i think. If you asked me to score the first 10 "over all" id have joyce up comfortably. but round by round i had parker edging a fair few early. Looked sloppy getting pushed back, but i actualy liked the punches he was landing better. Obviosly in winning lots of those early rounds he was getting grinded down stamina wise.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:43so you had parker ahead ta the time of the stoppage looking at your commentary on this thread?gregregegg wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:41 Stamina was always going to be the issue, parker coming in heavy didnt seem very smart. but i think he thought he could slow joyce with bombs. unfortunatly he landed a fair few absolute peaches and joyce hardly flinched.
Would love to see joyce vs usyk over 12 rounds...
Plenty of good fights left for parker too.
They took that out and replaced it with a supercharged titanium pump .handsofstone wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:45 Joyce's heart deserves zero credit btw, I don't think he feels pain, didn't notice the fatigue some mentioned either, the guys a phenomenon a genuine one off
i didnt notice the fatigue either, he never stoppedhandsofstone wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:45 Joyce's heart deserves zero credit btw, I don't think he feels pain, didn't notice the fatigue some mentioned either, the guys a phenomenon a genuine one off

That was a brilliant HW fight. A proper war. I really, really enjoyed that.
anything parker did, joyce had twice the effect. parker was distressed and getting manhandled from the 2nd or 3rd on. cant see anything other than jj being several upgregregegg wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:48Yea, i actualy did i think. I think there were times where joyce was blindly flurrying that he wasnt doing much. where as parker was jabbing and stumbling back but picking his shots well..
dont know i reckon he was hurt a couple of times there think the upper cut and there was another shot and he bounced on to jp on the ropes, he is something else he also has a great poker face it doesnt show any emotionmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:49i didnt notice the fatigue either, he never stoppedhandsofstone wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:45 Joyce's heart deserves zero credit btw, I don't think he feels pain, didn't notice the fatigue some mentioned either, the guys a phenomenon a genuine one off
mmm, I always have a weird feeling when i have someone up on rounds even though i see them losing the "fight as a whole"... That was this for me.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:50anything parker did, joyce had twice the effect. parker was distressed and getting manhandled from the 2nd or 3rd on. cant see anything other than jj being several upgregregegg wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:48Yea, i actualy did i think. so you had parker ahead ta the time of the stoppage looking at your commentary on this thread?

maybe if parker was ahead, he can blame the injured eye like dub's ppl do![]()
He'd win every round. Unlike Parker he would do some cardio before the fight. Gotta love Joyce though, put him in with Wilder.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:51 usyk moves way better than parker and has a great gas tank himself, id think he could see out 12 (parker almost did) and win on points
i think i had jp coming back in to it before that huge ko i think jp was absolutely running on empty when he went down got back up aswell what a warriorGrilling Machine wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:58 I felt Parker won a few rounds, but I definitely had Joyce comfortably ahead.
Parker's best shots bounced off his noggin like a football off a car roof, is the thing, so if we were scoring by reaction we'd say “Nah, didn't hurt him — it doesn't count”. But obviously, on points, some of those punches were round-winners.
One of those fights where points and attrition didn't match up.
