Howard Foster is the gift that keeps on fjucking up
Or alternatively he could have kept on attacking a visibly spent Parker for a few more seconds and made it conclusive.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 06:30Wardley was blowing his load there. There is no way he could have kept up that barrage much longer.
Yh i agree Parker was obviously hurt but he was blocking punches and was aware whats going, good fight though!Kilburn wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 07:31Or alternatively he could have kept on attacking a visibly spent Parker for a few more seconds and made it conclusive.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 06:30Wardley was blowing his load there. That was me, it’s a fairly abstract view… I just think wardly was absolutely punching himself out… to me it looked like Parker was kinda fucked , but also aware that wardly couldn’t keep doing that much longer.golden_labrador wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 16:47someone on here said Parker was looking more likely to get the KO when the ref stopped it. I'm still not seeing it
I really don't think the stoppage was all that egregious or takes away from the fight at all.
definitely a niche view...but not totally impossiblegregregegg wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 20:49That was me, it’s a fairly abstract view… I just think wardly was absolutely punching himself out… to me it looked like Parker was kinda fucked , but also aware that wardly couldn’t keep doing that much longer.golden_labrador wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 16:47someone on here said Parker was looking more likely to get the KO when the ref stopped it. It might be a slight exaggeration. Parker might have been too tired himself to Finnish him. But you get the point, I think if Parker survived another 20 seconds the tide would have turned.
On the flip side Foster stopped the action near end of the 2nd when Wardley had Parker hurt to let Parker replace his gumshield. He shouldn’t have done that, he’s meant to wait for a natural break so arguably he saved Parkerforcefraser wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025, 13:42 Big Joe was done dirty. No doubt about it.
You saw his initial reaction. Poor sod had fought his nads off and he deserved better.

I’ve seen plenty of refs do a time out for gumshield tbh. I’m sure there was a break in action.Controversial wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025, 14:42On the flip side Foster stopped the action near end of the 2nd when Wardley had Parker hurt to let Parker replace his gumshield. No the ref got in between them and called a time out, the rule is the ref is meant to wait for a natural break in the action. That’s why Wardleys corner was going off on one.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025, 16:42I’ve seen plenty of refs do a time out for gumshield tbh. Yes, the momentum was about to swing. Wardley gave it is all but Parker was still in there. Fabio had blown himself out Parker was about come on strong. It's such a shame we were denied the spectacle. Most of all though... All that hard work and sacrifice from Parker. Years of building himself up, waiting for his chance and for such a poor decision to take it all away.gregregegg wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 20:49That was me, it’s a fairly abstract view… I just think wardly was absolutely punching himself out… to me it looked like Parker was kinda fucked , but also aware that wardly couldn’t keep doing that much longer.golden_labrador wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 16:47someone on here said Parker was looking more likely to get the KO when the ref stopped it. Wardly landed 1/4 punches since parker had last thrown.... If parker was in fact a sitting duck i would expect a better connext rate on that last combo. (parker would of been a sitting duck vs a fresh wardly, but not ver a raggard tired wardly)..Frostieballs wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025, 05:40I have a little less sympathy.Ezzard wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025, 03:27Yes, the momentum was about to swing. He’s experienced enough to know you have to at least look as if you are throwing something back.
You can’t take a load of punishment, not throw anything back, sag on the ropes and not expect the ref to jump in.
The last few punches may not have landed flush, Wardley may (possibly) have been about to tire, but Parker looked like a sitting duck.
For me, Foster was right for once and Parker only has himself to blame. I think that showed in his post fight reaction - he’s a humble honest guy.
I'd like to see how many punches actually landed total after Parker was supposedly rocked. Can't imagine it's double figures.gregregegg wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025, 05:57Wardly landed 1/4 punches since parker had last thrown....
