Thanks Paul, have some more pictures of AA and some new ones of keeny Teran to post later on today. I'll see if I can find at which camp Art trained for the Carter title fight ...

In the prelims: Art Aragon, 131, continued on his upward climb by adding Henry Zamora, 131, to his list of victims, chilling him in the first heat; Torpedo Reed, 138, and Sonny Hill, 136, ended up even: John Tijernia, 136, K.O.'ed Al Valdez 137, in the fourth: Ignacio Villaverdes, 155, decisioned Billy Jones, 150. Los Angeles, Sept, 1944....

Frank, I've found this piece,....Art Aragon, former star of the Southwest Arena, Los Angeles' only amateur club, is going nicely in the professional ranks, having won his four pro starts in impressive style...Frank do you remember the Southwest Arena Amateur Club...From The Ring 1944... :TU:

Frank, Yes i think it's from the Miceli fight, i have a newspaper clipping i posted a while back, Art fought 10 rounds with a busted ankle....

Rick, I have a great photo of Art and his kids, Georgian, Art jr, and Audie, while Art was training for his fight with Basilio.
I'm going to purchase a scanner, when i do i'll post it..... :TU:
