Herbie Hide vs Tony Tucker
Happy new year to you Hands......and keep posting and bantering brother :salut:

This was the sort of fight that briefly got folk excited-talking about Hide - super quick, cocky and ultra aggressive for a guy who was literally dwarfed by some of the top-line 80's heavyweights and the new gen of even bigger 90's-monsters.

Tucker (seemingly) got blitzed by an entirely new kind of nimble but come-at-you HW fighter. The previous loss to Bowe was put down to Herbie being a little immature but not lacking in ability.

Of course it was not that simple, Tucker was on the slide and a very long way from the home, and Hide was still addicted to fighting in a cavalier way that carried massive risks and two summers later Vitali K literally punched his lights out.

If ever Hide had followed a Plan B or even a Plan C we'd be telling another story.

Not many people knocked Tucker out, Hide iced him

Tubbs/Page just sums up that era of HW boxing; this is why Tyson was seen as such a breath of fresh air.

He came along, tore through the division and washed away all those guys.

Floyd Patterson vs Brian London

Patterson was landing so sweet combos, that from time to time it was hard to realize, that London was standing. Yet eventually Floyd found routes to the body.
