SRR- Fulmer 2. Robinson was so good in rematches. One of the best-left hooks ever thrown.

De La Hoya- Vargas. Again another fantastic left hook. De La Hoya showed heart and grit as always. But that left hook was dynamite his entire career.

Dempsey-Carpentier. Someone did a great job restoring the film.

Sam Langford vs Jim Flynn III

Flynn was desperately trying to hold the smaller Langford from the start, to put weight on him and to make him tired. Flynn did too little work in the clinch, relied more on wrestling than fighting. Langford wasn't frustrated much by being out of his punching range and carring the bigger man on him, Sam was working inside with heavy swings and gradually breaking Flynn down. Eventually Langford knocked Flynn the f00ck out in close quarters, just where Jim loved to be so much.

I just watched this fight today. Solid contest. McBride gave it his all, but simply ran out of gas.

Alex Garcia vs Mike White

Before John Ruiz came along I would have to say Alex Garcia was the best heavyweight Hispanic I had seen fight but the problem was the man had no real chin. Still it was a dominating performance knocking out Mike White in two rounds when the fight before Mike White had gone the whole 10 rounds with Michael Moorer.

I mostly remember Alex Garcia for his role in the movie Diggstown though. Still to this day one of my top five favorite boxing movies.

Pavlik- Taylor.

Taylor started sharp. Put Pavlik down but went for broke. Pavlik weathered the storm, walked him down and brutally finished him.

Holmes- Norton

One of the best Heavyweight fights ever. One of the best 15th rounds ever.
I agree with the decision. I thought Holmes was the worthy winner. What a jab.
