Dunno I fancy porter in that.

Broner has looked terrible north of 140. Wouldn't be putting anything on him at 6/5. Malignaggi gave him hell

Degale to win in rounds 1-12 is price boosted to 9/2 with skybet. My head says degale on points but those odds are tempting me.

Richard Commey 8/11
Andre Dirrell on points 2/1
Both seem great value to me.

Long shot but Paul Smith to beat Andre Ward is 23/1 on betfair exchange - I know his the underdog and very righty so but this is boxing and I've seen many upsets over the years so I just couldn't resist at them odds

O'Sullivan rounds 1-3 at 11/10 with PP. The guy he is fighting is a light middle who has been fed novices. He is there to make o,Sullivan look good.

I think DeGale/Dirrel is an excellent betting opportunity. You can take both guys by points, both at 7/4. I dont buy that DeGale going to stop him hype that comes from his team. Points decision is written all over this fight.

I've put a small bet on Degale stoppage @ 10/3.
Realistically it should be a bigger price than that as it's got 12 rounds all over it.
But I feel Dirrells inactivity will go against him and just maybe Degale can exploit that.

Cant see it I would keep my money in my pocket for that one. Tonight is a hard call wouldn't be surprised if there is a dodgy decision in dirrells favour

I just went for a cheeky £5 punt on degale to stop dirrell in the 11th at 40/1 adds a bit more excitement to the fight

Dirrel on points is now 5/2 on Ladbrooks; I really hope DeGale wins, but with AD at home that's surely worth £20.

I agree, I've gone Dirrell points.

Always a good chance of getting the buzz from that type of bet in a close fight. One big shot from degale in the 11th and you'll be throwing shots with him!!

And loose money. lol
You cant seriously bet on a KO in a fight with two technical, average punching boxer. 57% return here.

Yet there were 2 knockdown do in round 2. How much do you have to bet / risk to make any decent money on the points win?

Are you serious? I just said I got nearly 60% return by betting points win on both sides.

I had Dirrell points at 5/2 and the draw at 25/1. Hedged with DeGale points in play to come out slightly ahead.
The fight to go the distance was the smart play but you had to ride your luck that Chunky dropped him too late in Round 2 to finish him.

If you bet £100 and get a £57 it's hardly worth the risk, especially when the fight could have ended in the second. You have to bet heavy to make it worth while.

I lost £80 on Dirrell points and £20 on the draw, I only bet against who I want to win though so i'm not too pi55ed off if my guy losses.

Probability of stoppage in championship fights is less then 50%. In DeGale vs Dirrell its even smaller. Therefore you profit regardless of the amount you bet. You could bet on the distance but betting both sides by points let you adjust your stakes according to who you favor to win. I had main bet on DeGale and used Dirrell bet to hedge the loss.

TY. I thought the bet was water tight. Yes there were KDs but my thinking was that if someone gets dropped he will go in the shell and none of the other guys has a tenacity to push for a stoppage.

Decent logic. My rationale betting on Degale stoppage was Dirrell might fold if he found it tough but was quite the opposite.

This bet was clearly a speculative punt though. One for the buzz. Putting big money on a stoppage wouldn't have been a good bet but people bet for different reasons. I know people who wouldn't dream of betting more than a tenner, 60% return for them isn't worth it. If you're sticking a ton on then it clearly is.

Well whatever floats your boat as they say. Some get buzz from buying lottery tickets. I think its a waste of money. For me betting on boxing is not for winning the money but for fun of beating casino.
