That guy should not be a judge, ever again.

What that has to do with anything? Search me.
They said she was one of the judges that scored the Bradley v Pacquaio fight for Bradley.Finn wrote:that judge should be struck off - a draw what an absolute joke. MD to floyd what a crock that was a clear UD as there possibly could have been.
Thats is absolutely insane she should be shot. If she isnt sacked theres something seriously wrong with boxing. More so than we already thought.

Haha. I just wanted you to admit you were wrong. That's all.marcianofan wrote:Okay. If columbo called it as well, fair play there, too. If only he was as good at showing class as with calling one particular fight, we'd be getting somewhere.
Since it's taking 20 minutes for me to get a post in and I'd actually like to watch the fight at some point, I'll type up my RBR for publication after the fact.
Rd 1- Floyd's jab was sharper and he outlanded Canelo, esp over the 2nd half of the round. Not much else between them. 10-9 Floyd.
Rd 2. Another close round. Canelo's two solid body shots and left hook narrowly outweighed Floyd's solid jabbing. 19-19
Rd 3. Ditto. Floyd's sharpshooting early vs. Canelo's pressure and counters later on. I go with Canelo narrowly. 29-28 Canelo
Rd 4. Best rd so far, but Mayweather was getting through with cleaner shots by and large. 38-38.
Rd 5. Canelo pushing Floyd back, and started landing his own jab with more regularity. Close for Canelo. 48-47 Canelo.
Rd 6.Canelo really starting to land clean. Looking very good. Still close, but the clearest round yet, and it's for Canelo. 58-56 Canelo.
Rd 7. Floyd dominant. 67-66 Canelo.
Rd 8. Floyd narrow advantage in clean punching, but Canelo controlled geography and was the aggressor. Close for Canelo. 77-75 Canelo.
Rd 9. Very close. I felt that Floyd was maybe the ring general, so I'll pull my trigger for him, but I could go either 86-85 Canelo.
Rd 10. Dominant for Canelo. 96-94 Canelo.
Rd 11. Canelo let himself get picked off and even pinned on the ropes once. 105-104 Canelo.
Rd 12- Canelo was the only one trying. 115-113 Canelo.
So many pick 'em rounds...I wouldn't be too mad about anything between 118-110 Alvarez and 117-111 Mayweather. Showtime team was unbelievably biased, though. Every jab Floyd landed was an event, while Canelo could throw 10 unanswered punches with Floyd pinned to the ropes, and the call was "Floyd calmly and coolly moves off the ropes." Talk about confirmation bias. Floyd can't be hit in their minds, so when Floyd gets hit, they view it with skepticism. This is the same syndrome that caused them to consider the Guerrrero fight a domination.
You need to leave the internet immediately.marcianofan wrote:So many pick 'em rounds...I wouldn't be too mad about anything between 118-110 Alvarez and 117-111 Mayweather.
You've had some really questionable scoring in your tenure here... but this is the most outlandish of all.marcianofan wrote:Okay. If columbo called it as well, fair play there, too. If only he was as good at showing class as with calling one particular fight, we'd be getting somewhere.

Oh I was wrong, no doubt about that. Just didn't particularly care for your approach. There wasn't anything wrong with my analysis of Garcia's chances based on his style and prior performances...he just stepped his game up. Good for you for anticipating that. If you watch his prior fights, though, you'll see that he was stiff and hittable. He was much more fluid this time, and I certainly didn't account for his chin.columbo wrote:Haha. Ok. I apologise for my abrasive approach but im not buying that Garcia has improved that dramatically over a small number of months. The truth is that Danny was better than you thought and Matthysse wasnt quite as good.marcianofan wrote:Oh I was wrong, no doubt about that. Just didn't particularly care for your approach. Im not sure she's bent. I have a feeling she just genuinely doesnt have a bloody clue in regards to what she's watching.ajwesty13 wrote:Its all for a betting scam shes not useless she's just Bent... How much money do you think was on a UD...
Can you think of any examples? I was, I assume, closer to at least one of the actual judges than were most of you. I can't say I always agree with CJ Ross by any means, but I don't give a guy credit equivalent to landing heavy blows every time he does a shoulder roll like most people do with Floyd, and I expect that was her theory, too. I also don't give a guy credit in individual rounds for being the pound for pound king, or for being the Showtime commentators' unanimous favorite fighter. I watch the rounds. I watch who's landing the clean effective punching, who's the effective aggressor, and who's the ring general. You don't get any of that by reputation alone. Watch it on mute or just really carefully, and you'll see that in roughly half the rounds, Floyd isn't really doing all that much offensively. It's smoke and mirrors, aided by a co-operative broadcast team. Floyd is as good as anyone out there, give or take. But he's not invincible, and you shouldn't score his fights with the preconception that he is.JCS wrote:
