So true!Tony1244 wrote:Charles Martin's most important "fight" is to find someone smart and honest to handle his money $$$$$.
Most athletes, like most lottery winners blow their money.
Im struggling to understand your post if im honest.ImranSarwar wrote:Martin received only 250,000.00 for boxing for the VAC title? Is that a fact? Would seem Martin is Joshua's top talent yet though! Martin is the best fighter Joshua has faced as a pro by a country mile
Saying that Martin don't have YOUR RATING -at all- may be reflection on the person saying such more than anything other! Their much competition even at the GOLDEN GLOVES, GUY! How well really you know? Their are "bums" in the SPORT but you can't call people like the MIKE QUARRY'S or the TONY LICATA'S OR THE GEORGE CHUVALO'S OR (even) CHUCK WEPNER "bums". What are you comparing with? [what am I talking with? "Smoker common litter bugs here"?] GET ELITE!
Imran, why do you keep making random words in capitals? When I'm reading it in my mind I'm shouting the caps words. Makes me feel like I have Tourette's...ImranSarwar wrote: Their ISN'T no "complaint" w/this fight really. For the true fan we got MORE THAN OUR MONEY'S WORTH. Look at the Radio Reheem interview with CHARLES MARTIN following the LOSS.
Pretty much, what we got WAS what was EXPECTED. ["Sure", it could of gone further. THIS IS BOXING, MAN! What do you want? &, CMartin is YET a "good product". Probably David Price won't want to CHANCE IT there, nor your ALLEN chap who is making small waves...][now we look where Martin settle in with the contenders. "GREAT SHOW", all-together. Charles LOST but he never came "unglued"/he had his CONFIDENCE. To "complain" about it, really, shows a want for experience with the SPORT]
-Sorry-
Imran 'The Enigma' Sarwan. From the bits i can, just, make out....
How much do you think Martin would be paid against Galazkov when their fight was an undercard contest?
Heres report i read, happy to see the one that states he was paid a lot more.
"The heavyweight co-feature bout tonight between Vyacheslav Glazkov and Charles Martin will see Glazkov getting a guaranteed $524,141 to Martin’s $250,000. With the money that Glazkov is making, he should be fighting Deontay Wilder rather than Martin."
Perhaps it does say more about me than it does about Martin when i say i dont rate him, but proof was in the pudding. He went down quicker than a two-bob hooker.
The rest of what you write is either incomprehensible or so indecipherable even the enigma machine would struggle. You need to knock the sporadic use of capital letters on the head. At one point you randomly capitalise the word SPORT. Why?
Also, you quote the word "bums" where did i use that term, or do you just like to quote the word "bums"...?
Not to mention the egregious and prolific use of inverted comma's and you have a recipe for an aneurysm right there.Rob3_142 wrote:Imran, why do you keep making random words in capitals? trying to compose himself my arse. He wanted to be counted out, so he didn't have to get hit again.Rob3_142 wrote:I like everyone else was quite disappointed with Martin's performance, and just thought he would be bringing more to the table. He didn't throw a punch in anger, and once Joshua sensed that Martin was going to feel his way in, he offloaded a few bombs. Once he realised a few bombs (which didn't even really land) rocked him, there was little stopping him from going in for the kill. Martin's lack of head movement, and languished attack, meant that Joshua was able to walk him onto a right hand, and the rest was history.
Regarding the 8 count. The referee had clearly stipulated before the fight that he'd give the fighters to the count of 8 to be on their feet. Martin after the first knock down was still on his knee at 9, and in the second knock down was on his knee at 10. He was given more chance than he was warranted to continue, but he clearly wasn't in shape to do so. If he was fine, he would of got straight back to his feet, but he was clearly trying to recompose himself. Both times when he was on his knee he seemed a bit spaced out, and had he got back up again, he wouldn't of hung around for long. That first knock down was a crushing blow!
On watching it first time I'd completely agree with you, but I just watched it back again on Sky Sports, and his brain was scrambled. He may well have been sporting a smile on his face after the second knock down, but had he tried to get back to his feet without composing himself, he would have just wobbled back down to the canvas. We've all seen it before. The first knock down has completely disorientated him, hence why he got straight back down after the restart.jamesmcdonnell wrote:trying to compose himself my arse. I'll rewatch it. I've a feeling I won't come to the same conclusion.Rob3_142 wrote:On watching it first time I'd completely agree with you, but I just watched it back again on Sky Sports, and his brain was scrambled. No, I didn't use the word bum. So stop quoting me as doing so.ImranSarwar wrote:Wales: on page 14, 9 April you say the following about CMartin:
looked about as much use as an ash tray on a motor bike.
I think you were talking his past performances. Yeah...your right. You didn't USE THE WORD, "BUM". RIGHT!
