On another note, I notice David Haye talked very quickly tonight. And looked rather wild eyed and intense tonight. He talks well though.

Stopping with the steroids would soon stop his acne.

I wouldn't be surprised by any sportsperson failing a drugs test.

I wonder how many more executions there need to be before Horse deems Joshua 'ready' for Tyson 'two left feet' Fury

Joshua just beat a nobody.

Please, don't act like he proved anything.

AJ is looking the goods to me, but Breazeale and Martin are mediocre, and Whyte is pretty much unproven. It would be nice to see AJ fight a legit top ten opponent who didn't get there because of one fluky result in which the other guy busted his knee. I suspect that AJ would beat up someone like Pulev, but it would be nice for him to prove it so it's not just speculation.

Sadly I agree - this goes for all sports.

Even them that don't fail a test will be taking some "supplement" that is performance enhancing but the authorities haven't got round to banning yet (like the Sharapova balls up - she was taking that stuff for 10 years and probably passed loads of tests purely because the drug wasn't on the banned list).

Haye even tried to get a sly dig in about Breazeale's last opponent being 43 :o

I bottled it and decided to watch- I thought Joshua boxed really well and credit to Breazeale, he showed a lot of heart and grit. Still think Martin is a better 'boxer' of the two but he definietly falls far short of DB in the heart and durability department.

If Fury has failed a drug test then it's pretty ironic considering he's consistently been calling joshua a steroid fuelled bodybuilder with no boxing skills.

I'm probably going to go crazy repeating this so much, but there's a point in shallow divisions where you have to concede that some folks who made it into the top ten barely did much to 'prove' their worth themselves. Yes, Joshua would crush pulev, and Malik Scott , and whoever else has been arbitrarily dumped in there on the basis of a win over someone who was arbitrarily dumped somewhere else vaguely near the top of the division. To me, Joshua has proved he can come back from adversity vs Whyte. And he has power and skills, judged in large part by the eye test. We can be sure he has a decent engine, especially for someone of his muscle mass.

As an aside, Is there any doubt whatsoever at this point that Joshua would have walked through all of fury's pre-wlad opponents? And if there is, why exactly?

The division is shallow, but despite that I don't think AJ has beaten anyone who is top 10, or perhaps even top 15, ability-wise. I do think he's the goods and will prove it eventually, but I don't believe all these 'executions' prove much and so I think you miss the point when you ask Horse how many more of them he needs to see for his mind to change.

Quality > quantity

He should fight Ortiz, Takam or Pulev.

Fury's pre-Wlad record was a lot better than Joshua's current record.

Joshua is the IBF champion now. He should try fighting someone half decent next, instead of all of these lowly opponents that he keeps finding.

Breazeale was suppose to be the traditional easy first title defence but he also fought Breazeale to help break into the US market. The best US had to offer was Breazeale and Wilder in regards to record.
