My thoughts... you always say you hate talking about fantasy match ups that never happen so why start now!

Canelo career 154-160er

Golovkin career 160er

Ward career 168-175er

Those fights aren't on

However to play the game. Ward would beat both. I'd like to think the light heavy champion should. If ward was shrunk to 160er I'd take Golovkin though

It was a 9-3, 8-4 type fight for me.

Golovkin fights every minute, canelo fights about 1 minute of the round. Canelo was more explosive so looked flashy at times, but let's be honest, Golovkin was the guvnor in there and dictated that fight.canelo wasn't out classed, boxed well to stick with Golovkin, but 1 big punch or combo doesn't take a round when your opponent is on you peppering you for the other 2 minutes.

The 118 Canelo judge should be struck off stupid bitch

I don't think we'll get a rematch, unless Golovkin takes it in about 3 years

I don't "hate" threads about fantasy fights, but I do feel that some of them should not be posted to BoxRec's current scene forum section if at least one of the combatants have been retired or dead for several years.

I challenge you to find one of my posts that justifies your accusation.

I expect you to either furnish me with an apology or to remain silent about this matter, because it's impossible for you to defend your fictional claim.

He also said Ward-Kovalev 2 nut-shot finish was legal. He also commissioned Floyd vs McG.

You know it's funny, CJ Ross is the only judge i can recall that got fired for a bad card. She upset 'the connnected guy' - even though her card didn't change the result of the fight.

So in other words, you can't prove a damn thing, so instead you try to send me on a wild goose chase searching for something that clearly does not exist.

FFS man! If you're going to talk the talk, you've got to walk the walk, so stop acting like a little bîtch and backup your claim!

We're not having a discussion about the unknowable, such as religion, you should be able to fûckîng prove your bûllshît accusation, if you're convinced about the accuracy of your theory!

On second view and scoring the fight RBR, I had it a draw. Very close fight. Golovkin was the busier fight, but Alvarez was landing the bigger more telling blows throughout. Still can't get over that 118/110 card

Not a robbery by any stretch of the imagination, although I know how people on this forum tend to work, so there will be alot of sour grapes. Great fight..

I'm not gonna bother participating in any threads pertaining to this fight from here on out. Tired of the crybabies on here.. I understand people being disappointed with the one card but just don't understand the talk about robbery or the outcome of the fight, because it's not warranted.

Then dont do it champ. And I know you already had your own grapes for GGG-Jacobs.

GGG must at least be better than you thought given your prediction

Interesting. I will be watching it again, shortly. I can say that I tried to score it objectively last night but there were definitely close rounds.

When I go back over my card though, I see a possible range on the outside of even to 118-110. I scored it 117-111 so I preferred 3G's work.

I am going to look at it from a GingerHead man perspective this time around.

Jacobs also did better job against GGG than Canelo. I would like to see those two in the same ring :geek:

Too bad that Canelo will avoid him like the plague

I do not consider it great. I would say that it was very good though.

One thing that I think has been confirmed, that I thought was just due to Jacob's gifts, skill and determination before this fight; 3G is aging quickly and he is having a very hard time pulling the trigger on his right hand. Furthermore, he headhunts entirely too much.

That said, there is no way that this fight was as close as the Jacobs fight, imo. But, I am about to watch it again.

The great fight, the best fighters. 116-112 GGG, in my opinion. I can realise the judges, Canelo is the future of boxing, and why would the judges avoid the chance to earn the "big money" again and again.....

Yeah, I feel if anyone deserved the nod it was GGG. I don't feel it was a robbery though and was fine with a draw. The 118-110 scorecard for Alvarez was disgraceful, that type of poo just shouldn't happen.
i agree with this.
triple g missed a lot of punches, and when canelo threw combos he tended to land, even if they didnt move ggg at all.
canelo showed a lot of heart and skill, to make this close.
you felt ggg was the boss in there, but he didnt quite dominate. similar to the jacobs fight in that sense only.
