Great summing up of what we know so far.SFW wrote: ↑15 Mar 2019, 23:40 Mikey in his last 2 fights was touched up to the body more often than I've ever seen, and faded late against both guys. He pounded on them and they both took late rounds off him and really disproved this whole bullshit great defense talk to me. Above 135lbs, Mikey isn't quite the force he was. Bigger guys taking his shots better, hitting him harder. Jumping in with Errol, that gap grows even bigger, the margin for error drops to zero, and Spence brings a pace and an explosiveness/power that will challenge Mikey's IQ and ability to adjust like never before. If Errol gets the jab going, starts sticking the body and having his way, this is gonna get ugly.. There are ways to beat mikey's great timing, disrupting it is one. Explosiveness, activity, there are ways.. Errol is going to beat Mikey with precision power shots, the pace, the power, and the grit. This guy got EJ mad. And for some reason Mikey thinks he's Wille Pep wont get caught clean despite all the recent evidence to the contrary.
That's a very good summation I reckon. Not long now. I don't expect him to win but massive props to Mikey for his ambition in taking on Spence.SFW wrote: ↑15 Mar 2019, 23:40 Mikey in his last 2 fights was touched up to the body more often than I've ever seen, and faded late against both guys. When did he fade late against Easter? And when was Easter touching him noticeably in the body? He was winning comfortably and probably just took his foot of the gas. He could've stopped Easter.SFW wrote: ↑15 Mar 2019, 23:40 Mikey in his last 2 fights was touched up to the body more often than I've ever seen, and faded late against both guys. I shouldn't have said last 2, should have said his fights at 140 and up, which is still his most recent fights. Now that you mention it, Mikey disengaged every time Easter stepped inside to work there he wanted no part of the in fighting. Don't be fooling yourself with that stoppage talk, Mikey unloaded on all these guys and none were even close to being stopped. That ain't a choice, he can't put them away. Or he would have. He's in trouble tonight, that's for sure.IKSRTFO wrote: ↑16 Mar 2019, 12:07When did he fade late against Easter? And when was Easter touching him noticeably in the body? I remember Mikey walking taller Easter down most of the fight.
You could probably give Mike two rounds....

Yeh. An elite lightweight going the distance with a monster punching Welterweight. Showed chin and heart. Garcia definately get’s more credit even though it was lop-sided. He was always gonna get more credit tbh.sturm vogel wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 00:42 My record here shows I called this perfectly. I wrote Garcia had the defensive skill to go the 12. He was never going to win the decision.
But.... he's the true winner here. Spence looked only the bigger man. He's quite dull and average really. A skilled boxer his size shames him.
Without doubt. And BS headline has this as a "beat down"? I must have watched a different fight. Mikey parried, blocked, and slipped most of Spence's shots. Mikey is a very composed counter-man.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 00:44Yeh. An elite lightweight going the distance with a monster punching Welterweight. Showed chin and heart.
