Called it a while ago. He'll do a 'Mayweather-Berto' style farewell final fight to give his mate a payday.

Also, while the second Chisora fight was a total bore fest, to say the first one was rubbish isn't really true. It was a decent domestic level dust up at the time. I don't want to see the 3rd, but I just think it'll happen.

the first fight was good for about 3 rounds, then chisora gassed and had little to offer

the second is one of the worst fights ive seen, 10 rounds basically of fury ocassionally flicking backhand jabs at chis, with chis unable to get near him. although impressive in a way, considering chis usually gives guys tough fights, and fury shut him out and stopped him with 1 hand, and not even his normal lead hand

As if Fury is going to fight those 5 fights to finish his career off. He's probably already changed his mind.

More likely just trying to put some promotion out there to this fight nobody wants to see against Wilder.

During a lull in action at work I did a bit of web surfing and chanced this African news site where they had all sorts of odd stories, including an apparent open acknowledgment of juju as 'a thing'. I'd assume it's Zimbabwean, but it was an interesting read from a Western perspective. There were a lot of stories about a singer who was gay and who's boyfriend had died in mysterious circumstances, but all the gayness was only hinted at and circled around very carefully as some great taboo. Those stories don't seem to be up now. Anyway yeah, there were a few stories about juju.

I've worked with a few African lads who, without much pushing, would openly say that they'd seen things in Africa that I, as a Westerner, wouldn't believe. As a psychiatric nurse when I was younger and as an agnostic who doesn't have any real religious beliefs but doesn't write off spirituality, I don''t mind saying that some of the most terrifying patients that I considered "is this person mad or possessed?" were of African origin.

They had the blackest eyes, like no soul was there, and were incredibly bizarre, and displayed some really really weird behaviour. I'm not saying it was anything supernatural, but certainly how their madness manifested itself was different to people born in the West. It was certainly more extreme. Saying that, I've nursed some white westerners whose behaviour was straight out of the Exorcist. I worked in places where the people I worked with were behind multiple locked doors, for some context.

Glad I don't do that job anymore. It has left some scars.

For multiple reasons James, I'm not going into any great detail. It's potentially compromising my ex-patients' confidentiality, and also compromising my current position now.

Suffice to say, I am now medicated myself and believe that I suffer from undiagnosed PTSD.

Anyway, I've seen some weird sh*t. I got into martial arts and fitness, and boxing especially, to keep me safe at work. And now I find my borderline autism when it comes to boxing, especially heavyweight, as some sort of escape and hobby to keep my mind off some of the grimness.

I'm on record on here as growing up around illiterate gypsies who were very superstitious as well as being very violent, with stories of dark spirits that weren't so different from the African lads I got to know later on. I really wouldn't be surprised if a plastic African like Wilder was bricking it against Fury's 'juju'. I'd take on the Africans over the travellers any time! They're all just as spooky as each other!

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will finally put their long running feud to bed as they face off in Las Vegas on Saturday 9 October for the third and final time. All the action, including the undercard, will be broadcast live on BT Sport Box Office.

The heavyweight trilogy showdown between WBC and lineal world champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury and former world champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder — scheduled for Saturday, July 24 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas – has been postponed due to Fury’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

The two goliaths will now meet Saturday, Oct. 9 at T-Mobile Arena and live on ESPN+ PPV and FOX Sports PPV, resuming one of the great rivalries in the division’s storied history.

Tickets purchased for July 24 will be honored for the rescheduled date.

The ‘Gypsy King has got to show that he can come back from COVID-19 illness to successfully defend his WBC title against a motivated Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs), who is seeing red right now.

Wilder is not only angry about what transpired during his rematch with Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs), but now he’s angrier because he has to wait to get his chance for redemption.

Fury, 32, needs to make sure that he’s 100% healthy for the October 9th fight because the boxing public won’t want to hear excuses afterward about him being at only 50% due to his weight.

Moving the trilogy fight three months to October should give Fury plenty of time to prepare for the clash. If not, Fury needs to let his promoters at Top Rank know that he needs more time to train and/or recover from COVID-19.
