Russian legendary amateur boxer Alexandr Lebziak had the same injury twice. He suffered it shortly before the 1992 tournament and in the process of the 1996 one. He healed it in 1992 while he was forced to abandon the final stage of preparation to the Olympics. He fought several fights with this injury in 1996. He wasn't able to make it to the medals both of times. It was at middleweight. In 2000 Lebziak won the light heavyweight Olympics. Weight cut is a helluva thing. Lopez will move up.

i thought kamboso performance was brave gallant spratan like, big gutts to do it that way . teo was all cocky and brash till that over hand right cut that out for the whole i think that punch beat lopez i dont think he recoverd from it , great battle gave most rds to the spartan till the ko down he hung on in that rd no doubt lopez nearly got out of jail , deserved his win glad he got, lopez old man is an embarrassment, i felt for teo even he looked shamed by the nonsense he was spouting. really enjoyed that fight i mean fury wild 3 but this was up there

Talking of the dreadful cornerwork in Gerald McClellen's war with Benn and that guy wearing the sailor hat....Colin Hart came out with a memorable line after the fight saying he wouldn't have let that fella in charge of a rowing boat

It was a superb fight, my fight of the year and I watched it knowing the result. I can't get over how much better Kamboso was compared to the guy who struggled vs Selby. Although I thought Kamboso edged out Selby, I thought it was more of a case of Selby not being what he was as opposed to Kamboso being the more talented.
However, this time he looked so sharp. His speed was impressive and he deserve full credit for that. He will be a match for anyone in the division. I think Loma style might be problematic for him, but he is definitely top top elite.
